I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great support team, all inclusive training and career advancement programs. High compensation. Residue income for the LIFE of the policy! Leads, awards, bonuses, trips, more awards. Make your own hours! Getting to help people when they need it most. I get paid to drive around and talk to people, (If I make some sales) You make what you put into it. Unlimited Potential income. Tax write offs like gas or mileage but you are not 1099 ed you are a W 2 employee which is awesome you don't need to worry about taxes later. :) Very Positive environment! No room for negativity :)

    Cons

You must be self motivated at times. If you do not like driving it's not for you. occasional charge backs on cancelled policies you must pay most of back out of your next checks(does not happen a lot.) If you are not selling you will not make much money it's commission based mostly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I personally make more money as an agent than I would as a manager. However managers get a salary as well as commission I believe it's great for managers who have a large team! More meetings and responsibilities but more respect as well. Almost anyone who works hard can become a manager or better.

I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time

    Pros

I joined Combined Insurance almost 2 years ago and it's one of the best decisions I have made in my career. Combined is a great organization filled with employees who are cooperative, collaborative, and full of PMA!

    Cons

I purposefully joined a smaller Company however, the speed of change with limited resources, although exciting, can be exhausting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to empower new employees help achieve and exceed the Company's goals.

I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

All of my co-workers, past and present, have all been great to work with. It always feels like we are a team and everyone makes being in the office a good time. The managers treat you with respect and seem to value your opinions and what you have to say. Also, the benefits package is great and the vacation time that you accrue is fantastic.

    Cons

Nothing that i can currently think of.

    Pros

I have been working for Combined Insurance for a couple of years now and I would say that the opportunities I have been presented with are definitely worth the effort and time that I have put in. Combined Insurance definitely puts in the time and money to make sure that you are properly trained before you start the position on your own. I would definitely reccommend Combined as a company to look into.

    Cons

    No cons as of yet.

I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I have truly enjoyed my time at Combined Insurance. Everyone is very friendly and always smiling. While holding an entry level position, I am able to interact with upper management, who are all very down to earth and truly want to improve the company. Brad, our CEO, is very charismatic and committed to continuous improvement and even holds small breakfast sessions to get to know all employees in the company. I love the variety of work and enjoy working at both our Glenview and Chicago offices. I have never worked at a company full of such positive people. I have only been working here several months and can see myself working here for many years to come!

    Cons

Do not have any cons so far.

    Pros

Friendly, open-minded, variety of characters keeps you engaged and not bored. Changes that happen are usually very positive. From the CEO on down, they are very social and easy to talk with. Very open to discussing business matters even if it is outside of the existing reporting structure.

    Cons

Pay and internal career growth could be improved, and seems to be going that direction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep communication across all departments open.
