I have been working at CommScope full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, decent salary, bonuses are great

    Cons

Boys club!. Have to be in good with upper management to succeed. No recognition of a person who works hard. Going back to school means nothing, still can't get promoted unless you are in a click.

    Pros

Lots of big company resources, access to good manufacturing staff and benefits are good.

    Cons

Manufacturing company culture and slow IT response. No access to ESPP or RSUs. Not typical Silicon Valley company.

    Pros

When first starting here it was a great company to work for. They were family oriented and were great to help with those wanting to go back to school.

    Cons

In the end after the merger, it was bad. Constantly going back and forth changing work schedules. Not much help with schooling.

I have been working at CommScope full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The paychecks cash. The 401k match is ok. The CEO seems down to earth.

    Cons

When a corporation buys a small startup as happen to us then the health insurance shouldn't get worse. HR gives lots of required useless busy work. If you do any type of IT related work expect corporate IT to be an enemy who gets in the way of getting your job done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your health insurance offering is a joke and real negative to people with families. Get some control of corporate IT including allowing employees that want to work on weekends remote access.

    Pros

    Cons

Poor communication from management; business model stodgy; not enough employee recognition.

I worked at CommScope full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people and management, flexible work hours, reasonable workload

    Cons

Business is dwindling and layoffs are aplenty, very little stability, company doesn't run as a unit but more like a number of autonomous entities...and it shows when you work there, pay could be more competitive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look elsewhere for work...you're great at managing and deserve better than this place. This place is the Titanic post-iceberg...

I worked at CommScope full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Commraderie - the people are willing to work together with each other and help each other, in general people are very pleasant, helpful and get the work done.

    Cons

The company is extended across many states and national boundaries and the culture varies from location to location but in general different locations work well together. The projects are also spreaded out among different locations, nevertheless, the work gets done.

I have been working at CommScope full-time

    Pros

Good and friendly people to work with, most of the employees have been around for many years, so the turnover rate is not high. Flexible schedule and easy job, feels like a govt job.

    Cons

Little room for career progress, most of the employees are "holding" onto their job. Benefits getting worst every year and pay is just about ok not adjusting to high inflation rate.
