    Pros

    Good starting pay for remote employees. Good employee education from outsourced companies, none from immediate supervisor. Working with many people from other branches was really nice and most were enjoyable to work with. That's about all on the pros.

    Cons

    Very POOR immediate supervision, no one to back you up or support your hard work and very many hours put into a job that you loved doing but never compensated for your time (nearly 80 hours a week avg.) Biased supervisor never following through with training that those under them needed to be proficient in their job because it made them look better for themselves and that was the bottom line.....themselves. Not compassionate with employees health issues and needs. Glad I got away before I lost my mind with all the chaos and back stabbing that goes on daily.........sad.

    Advice to Management

    Value your employees that are dedicated to their job and wanting to learn all that they can and get rid of so called supervisors that ONLY care about themselves. Someone in upper management needs to take a look around at all the hard work that the remote workers do and compliment them for their hard work instead of slapping them down and accusing them of faults before all the facts are in. Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. It is sad but the upper management in Franklin is going to ruin what could be a good company.

    Pros

    Good benefits, good pay, good raises. Nice people to work for.

    Cons

    All the above was true. I worked for CHS for over 8 years and then out of the blue my department and another one was outsourced. The new company is terrible. CHS boast about Community Cares if they cared about their employee and not the almighty dollar they would have not ruined the lives of these people which are the community.

    Advice to Management

    Quit outsourcing good employees

    Cons

    Outsources jobs. Been with company for several years and once this company took over my job was eliminated.The benefits are expensive and horrible

    Generous with holidays and family time off

    Stingy with annual increase and there are no bonus

    Pros

    Being part of a large system

    Cons

    This company does not want employee feedback or suggestions for improvement. I went to my supervisor with several suggestions for process improvement. Up until that point I was considered a steller employee with great yearly evaluations - however after providing some constructive feedback I was asked to leave the company.

    Advice to Management

    Embrace innovation and ideas from all directions. Sometimes good employees are not replaceable.

    Pros

    Can't think of any pros for this pathetic company. If anything, the pay is average. Decent cell phone.

    Cons

    No idea how to be successful. Hospice is treated like the red headed step child. Way to many managers that are just plain nasty. You have nurses over stepping there bounds. Very negative culture. Upper mgmt is run by a good ole boys network. Hospice adm have no idea what they are doing. Sales is treated like crap.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to more than your stock price.

    Educational opportunity are ok, at least you can see what you don't want to be a part of.

    Company not interested in the value of good, dedicated staff

    be more proactive in staff retention.... i.e. wages, benefits, etc

    Pros

    The only pro to this place is the staff minus the management.

    Cons

    Very poor nurse managers. Overworked. Short staffed. Unsafe high patient to nurse ratio. High turnover. Emplyees are treated with disrespect. No raises in more than three years. Never have supplies that are needed. Always running out of linens. Reusing IV tubing. Its an embarrassment.

    Advice to Management

    Get a new nurse manager. One that has respect for the employees. There would definitely be less turnover. Some nurses are working 6-8 12 hour shifts in a row..unsafe. Keep us in supplies. We should not have to reuse IV tubing. The linens need to be replaced. Every single sheet has holes in it..embarrassing. The towels and washcloths are no better. I know this is a small town hospital but that is no reason to be neglected.

    Pros

    Hospitals care about treating and caring about patients

    Cons

    Corporate's sole concern is profit: Employees can be easily replaced

    Advice to Management

    Eliminate former Humana executives, eliminate multiple family members working in multiple Corporate departments.
