I have been working at Compass Group Canada full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

work life balance is an advantage along with the culture of promoting from within but we should send our operational key performers specially skilled personnel to learn new trends in similar or different business ,so that we are trendsetters in our business

    Cons

I am only as good as who I know and how I sell myself ,not on results I deliver based on challenges faced .
Top management need to invest time in
    strategy development
    strategy deployment
strategy execution at unit level based on the challenges of individual units
Eye for detail in managers for competency and efficiency in job, lead by example attitude
why why analysis by management why some initatives are success and what and who made it possible so that same or similar success stories can be written across organisation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Strategy deployment to each unit through focused communication channels to the lowermost employees ,along with individual benefits of exceeding targets
Clarity in writing on packages and role expectations, and delivering by promises made during the interviewing process ,otherwise we would have employed great people ,de-motived and producing mediocre results

    Approves of CEO

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compass is a big company and feels really big - in the sense that you don't really know how you fit into the bigger picture as an employee.

I have been working at Compass Group Canada full-time

    Pros

good benefits, freedom to make your own schedule, good health and safety systems in place, good out sourcing for other "brands"

    Cons

Paid grid is horrible, no sales bonus or any bonus, lack of leadership in upper management, its understandable when you are salary to spend a significant amount of time at work however this is not the best to work for if you have a family or social commitments of any kind. They expect you to work non stop, with little pay and no support.

    Pros

Good benefits if you meet full-time criteria.

    Cons

Employees lower than Supervisory status are not able to receive raises or promotions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you value those few hard-working, honest individuals who do their job day-to-day, year after year, you should show them how much you appreciate them by giving them bonuses, raises, and/or promotions on a regular basis. It makes for good business and it boosts morale. Happy employees means happy customers!
