Bellevue, WA

Former Employee – worked at CompuCom as a contractor

ProsWill try like heck to get you a contract, then mostly leave you alone. They seem to have a decent amount of contracts and work pretty hard to fill them.
Very friendly recruiters.
Nice managers.
Decent benefits and very flexible configurations of said benefits.

ConsSalary doesn't seem as high as market, but that might have just been poor negotiation on my part.
Communication with manager sparse (but that can be okay depending on your comfort level)
Kind of high-pressure as far as taking a contract but will back off if requested

Advice to Senior ManagementReach out occasionally and send a holiday card or something. Or maybe even a holiday party.

Dallas, TX

Current Employee – been working at CompuCom

ProsA wide variety of challenges. Management is concerned about work life balance.

ConsA lot of chaos. Many decisions are made with no analysis as to what the benefit will be. We seem to invest in places where there is no need and leave areas in need of funds/support to suffer. The customer is never wrong and we do a lot of inefficient things and have a lot or redundancy because of it.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo a better job of planning. Look at the big picture.

Cleveland, TN

Current Employee – been working at CompuCom

ProsCompuCom is a good company to work for, competitive pay, and benefits, and great management.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the company.

ConsCompuCom offers very little in the realm of career advancement within the company. You have to be willing to move in most cases hundreds of miles to get a promotion.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer more centralized locations for growth with in the company. It is hard for most people to pick up and leave.
