I worked at CompuCredit full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

A very relaxed company, I had one on one training. Everyone there is always willing to help.

    Cons

One of the main perks I liked about CompuCredit/Atlanticus was you could work whatever hours you want as long as you do your 8 hours. Also, we could work from home 1 sometime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My manager, when I was hired back in July, 2013, was a person that took time to explain things to you. She was a person you could ask questions and always had any open door policy.
Most of the managers here had an open door policy.

    Pros

I was in a good team, in a good working environment.

    Cons

They renamed to be Atlanticus now, but still try to use the business model that brought them success 10 years ago. It is not growing, which means not much growing opportunity inside the company.

I worked at CompuCredit full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great compensation, smart co-workers, very little hassle and no bureaucracy. The company expects you to be available, but the general hours kept are very family friendly.

    Cons

The one con that I think is apparent to many who work in the sub-prime markets is that there is a lot of regulatory oversight and that means that there is added stress to any normal workday. The regulatory environment introduced a lot of uncertainty.

I have been working at CompuCredit

    Pros

Full authority to work and manage the way you think best, looking for results, so long as you don't break the law, do anything immoral or unethical.

    Cons

Compucredit just outsourced most of its credit card work off shore, so the company is downsizing. It's sad, because the work the in-house call centers did was outstanding, especially dealing with their subprime portfolio.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the deal....let people plan their future....

    Pros

open door policy with all management, friendly and young staff, fast-paced environment, flexible hours and work-life balance, competitive salary

    Cons

management used to have quarterly meetings about status of the company until a couple years ago when major layoffs began and the meetings stopped as well as all communication within the company, letting employees go without sufficient knowledge transfer
