    Pros

Professional, Large SAP landscape. Fairly aggressive with SAP solutions

    Cons

Lots of offshore IT resources and increasing. So it's only a matter of time until your position might be offshore as well.

    Pros

The company is considerate of your needs and therefore a good company to work for. Client pressures will force any company to push their employees a bit, but CSC tries hard to strike a balance and give its employees a good overall experience.

    Cons

I really HATE the appraisal process! It is a process I think every company should do away with!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The way to encourage employees to stay would be to provide more perks! The perks are barely there in CSC, which is a way of cost-cutting. But I believe if there is more intent to provide employees with benefits that other organizations dont care to, CSC could be considered one of the top firms in India as well. I loved the work and exposure I received at CSC, but there has to be more perks for employees to be loyal to a company, because if the company doesn't go the extra mile for its employees, the employees too will not.

    Pros

Great leadership and investment in the people.

    Cons

BCG did a workforce analysis to reduce the size of the firm but didn’t take time to understand leadership dynamics or variance in remaining leadership and manager capability. The result was a lean organization with less leadership and reduced focus on development or employee engagement. You can predict what happened next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CSC was a great firm with caring leaders and exceptional employee development. Build the firm leadership competency and focus on employee development.

    Pros

Loved working in the Federal sector. Army is a great client, lots of long-term opportunities. Many fine fellow consultants.

    Cons

Company has cut back on benefits and now treats employees poorly. Global re-organization to streamline company resulted in a lot of cost-cutting. Still an old boys network.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your employees. They are the reason you make money. There is more to compensation than an ok base salary.

    Finest company to work in

    Cons

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great team members who are dedicated to excelling at their jobs and making for a fun challenging work environment. At least this was my experience most of the time. With consulting this is likely to change often. Co-workers are generally very helpful and follow a team mentality to accomplishing goals.

    Cons

The company is constantly re-organizing to the point it's become a joke. At least that's the perception at the lower levels. Employees don't even know their titles or standing within the company. After several years I became disenfranchised with the larger organization

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reviewers should always be on the same project, contract, or site as the employee they are reviewing. It's not helpful to be rated and reviewed by someone who has only met you once or twice.
