The company is disorganized, does not pay well, provided poor training, but was good experience for your first job.

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Worked with numerous consultants who had years of experience and so much to teach you. Gain experience working with various useful applications.

    Cons

Some weeks you will have nothing to do, while others you may be working OT. The company is huge so its structure is extremely disorganized so good luck asking HR for any help. The month of training they provided me was completely useless and I ended up getting assigned to a project on a role that did not use most of the training provided.

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Some real smart people and good people.

    Cons

too much cutting costs, no privacy everybody hear and sees what your are doing, cannot do conference calls in the cubicle. Too much turnover. Benefits are just regular, more on the downside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everybody should help in cutting costs, stop having lavish dinners, been so generous in tipping when is not your own money, don't make exceptions to your favorites for business class and have executives just take a cab instead of limo service.

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement, laid back if you are on a contract.

    Cons

Don't work here if you are expecting an annual raise. The company changed the policy to a bell curve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Motivate employees to do more.

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp

    Pros

Many opportunities to explore other roles in own group and other groups.

    Cons

Too many layers of manage who took an "ivory tower" approach to dealing with contributing lower level employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe the 17 layers of management have been collapsed to six, but the heart and soul of the company has been gutted.

I worked at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I work well with the team that I supported for eight years. I enjoyed the environment they help me pay for my schooling and I was promoted several times.

    Cons

When they decided to downsize due to budget cuts in 2010 I got only one day notice to get all of my belongings and leave the facility. I think that was unfair treatment after eight years of service with CSC.

I worked at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I started right out of college and worked there for 23 years - great opportunity and advancement at the time. I have heard alot of bad things since the change of CEO - I was not there during that time so I can not confirm.

    Cons

Not good with diversity - despite their respective discussions to do more, they at the time never did. (I still liked CSC when I was there.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maintain the integrity that CSC used to be known for...

    Pros

Solid job, enjoyed working for the Marine Corps.

    Cons

CSC didn't understand we didn't go to corporate offices and meetings. We didn't get much information on what was going on with the company or changes. Didn't have much contact with corporate for a chance to better myself.
