    Pros

The "doers" at Compuware APM are amazing, have extreme knowledge, talent, and passion.
Its just too bad that management doesn't recognize this.

Modern office (however its a recruiting strategy and a ploy to find more victims that the company can chew up and spit out)

    Cons

If you work at Compuware APM, be prepared for the following:

    - Quick turnover rate of employees (both voluntary and forced resignations)
    - Slimy management strategies
    - To work extra hours on a regular basis just to meet the minimum expectations without any gratitude or recognition
    - For upper management to set unattainable deadlines and goals, unaware as to what really goes into the execution.
-When things go wrong, expect management to point fingers at the ones sweating to get things done.
    - A real "walking on eggshells" environment
    - Weak 401k match (shows how much they care about their employees)
    - No opportunity to advance or break into management. The company only hires managers externally and never promotes within
-Be prepared to not have a voice and to not have your expertise valued
    - Drama. Drama. And more drama.

I worked at Compuware full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It was an honor to work with a lot of very talented technical staff

    Cons

Management in any branch location just marched to the orders of Detroit. Many were not leaders. The ones who were left because they were never listened to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick with a Strategic plan for more than six months. Some of them would have been successful had they only done so. Treating the services staff as cattle would explain why an office that was once 1000 dwindled to under 100 and was sold off.

I worked at Compuware full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Some good people trying to do the right things for the company and the clients. Location has attached parking and easy access to many downtown events. Offices are nice.

    Cons

Many managers treat their workers like indentured servants. The better employees are not given good opportunities and consequently driven away. Too many friends of senior management with inflated titles. Company is trying to restructure itself, but not bringing in fresh management will hinder this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Institute 360 degree and skip level reviews and be willing to listen. Shuffle the top management, look for your leaders within the ranks. .

Politics, NO Loyalty to Employees, Terrible Salary, Overall Dismal Work Life

I worked at Compuware full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

NONE - this company will literally make you hate your life.

    Cons

There is no personal growth. The politics of upper management are borderline illegal. The company is constantly fudging it's numbers, and all the employees know it. Constant rounds of employees being laid off. HR does not help in what we all know are illegal situations. You cannot trust anyone at this company. NO work/life balance. No creative environment that fosters growth. If you are good at your job, you will get let go. If you are bad at your job and everyone hates you, you will get promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell the company and put everyone out of their misery.
