    ProsI enjoyed working there because they paid well. I got a brand new company car every year. There service was excellent and therefore easy to sell.

    ConsThere is a tremendous amount of computer work to get done in a timely fashion in order to spend more time with you customers and less in front of a computer.

    Advice to Senior ManagementIt is a huge company.....treat your employees, and not numbers.

    ProsExcellent sales training. Good management. Great people.

    ConsSome Operations scorecards lead to Operations working against Sales when scorecards are too heavy on certain metrics that don't include end results for the customer.
    Certain internal departments drive away good customers through absolute control with little customer sensitivity.
    Inconsistent training and protocols for Customer Service and Billing.

    Advice to Senior ManagementAlign Customer Service and Billing guidelines for better consistency and give CSRs a mentor other than Service Center Manager who can answer complex Billing questions.
    Build more Customer Service into training for Customer Service Rep's and Operations people.

    ProsCon-way has a real "team" atmosphere and a community environment that supports everyone's success. There are boundless opportunities to learn and grow and move laterally or upward into career goals.

    ConsIt is a very busy place and I don't often have time to take advantage of some of the extras that are provided (Work out room, various active groups, special events, etc.)

    Its been a great place to get my feet wet again in the working world.

    ProsThey care for all the employees. They very encouraging with their workers. They want you to succeed in your job and give you the tools to do so. The big boss even make breakfast for all the employees to show his appreciation for a job well done.

    ConsA thirty hour work week, I wish it was forty. But I understand the bottom line.

    Great Company

    ProsAlways having full availability to our fleet manager. Ran a dedicated run from Santa Fe Springs to Newtown Pennsylvania every week.

    ConsOther than not being home, really no cons. But that goes with the job of being an OTR driver

    Advice to Senior ManagementLook into adjusting your HazMat pay. .05 extra a mile, isn't really compensating us for our knowledge and safety training.

    Wonderful balance of career growth and stability

    Pros- Great work life balance here!
    - Lots of great career opportunities for those who are passionate about their job and are technically sound.
    - Management is very supportive of personal development and career growth.
    - Great pay and benefits
    - Above all... lots of wonderful employees!

    Cons- We don't have the latest and greatest development platforms (some are very old legacy systems) but we are moving towards being more current on technology.
    - The business domain may not be the most exciting - it's trucking, after all... but there's so much depth and breadth to the applications we have, you won't ever get bored.
