I have been working at Constellation Brands full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company's reputation as a young, casual, and fun place to work along with the recent Corona acquisition has led to CBrands hiring some incredibly intelligent and hard working talent in the past several years.
In-office gym, product allowance, notoriously fun Christmas party and other events, bars in the offices, new focus to furthering training of current employees (jobs skills and other certifications such as WSET). Generally promotes from within.

    Cons

A competitive atmosphere full of competitive people tends to lead to immense competition between employees. Could be considered good or bad depending on who you are.
Others include relatively high turnover, constant restructuring, and some rumor mongering. Hours can be rough depending on group (for some, 50-60 while other are out at 40)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep up the momentum and put more focus on developing a better team to predict market trends. Our NPD sometimes feels 2 steps behind the competition.

    Pros

Good starting point for young talent entering the industry, however future growth opportunities are somewhat limited in the sales area.

    Cons

It's all about the #'s. Make your case & depletion goals and you are a star. Don't make them and you are gone. They are good at growing big brands. However, they have a very poor record of developing new brands or having any patience to nurture and do the heavy lifting of real brand building. Please note that this is a wine company with Spirit brands. Fine Wines & On-Premise areas take a back seat to grocery or mass merchandiser channel management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do a better job of evaluating and developing your bench by providing a succession plan for key employees.

I have been working at Constellation Brands full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Sales org loaded with talented people. Good mix of young and enthusiastic and experienced and good mentors. Managers really care for their people. Heavy workload and high performance goals, but plenty of rewards to go along with them. Like working with friends. Very good senior management. Amazing wine and spirits portfolio. Good stock comp.

    Cons

High expectations. Heavy workload. Not for the weak, but good for the strong. Used to change the structure frequently, but has been nice and stable for the past several years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep investing in the brands.
