Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station is NOT a top 100 company to work for!

    Operations Training Instructor (Current Employee)
    Oswego, NY

ProsThe pay and benefits are very good compared to other employment opportunities in this area.

ConsThere is no compensation for hours worked beyond 40. It is expected and normal that an employee will work 50 - 60 hours a week without compensation or flex time. Work/Life balance are hollow corporate catch phrases and has no real meaning or due consideration from senior management.

Advice to Senior ManagementCompensate your employees for all hours worked or at least hire and provide staffing levels that support 40 hour work weeks.

Lies to employees about the financial shape and current status
Horrible severance package if you get laid off

    Constellation Ernergy Nuclear Group

    Senior Financial Analyst (Current Employee)

ProsOverall good company with good benefits and systems in place.

ConsBaltimore. infighting between departments. Lack of 360 degree reviews. White man's club. No training. Departments can operate in isolation and allow a dictator to flourish. This and the resulting turnover can go unnoticed or ignored as long as the department produces. Fairness is not a top priority and relationships matter very much.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllow for feedback of direct management in the review process to avoid breeding dictators.

Only energy company offering compete integrated energy product strategy

    Director (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsCover the entire retail energy product and service portfolio right from being the largest retail energy provider with offerings in commodity, demand response, energy efficiency, solar and other renewable energy attributes

ConsDue to the internal structural challenges it is difficult to effectively provide a comprehensive offering. Commodity sales force which is the largest individual group are hesitant in offering comprehensive service offerings due to differing sales cycles and lack of knowledge

Advice to Senior ManagementHave technical sales or solutions developers who can develop and structure comprehensive and synergistic energy solutions offerings who have knowledge and expertise across the entire energy strategy

ProsDecent benefits, opportunity to work closely with C-level management, stable work environment.
