    I worked at Continental Guest Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Pay is actually pretty good. When tips are good, they add greatly to your income. Many people you work with are fun and just great people. Many of the middle managers are decent good people to work with.

    Cons

    The big boss is a bit self absorbed, egocentric. You do have to sell your soul a little with the job since you are sometimes being a ruthless salesman hawking overpriced tickets tickets to tourists. Company keeps way to many of the incentives that are meant for employees. Company tries to blackmail companies and restaurants and has it out for those that do not want to kneel before them. You do not want to get on managements bad side. There are a select number of employees who are horrible people and they will stab you in the back any chance they get. There is a lot of favoritism which can determine your scheduling and locations.

    I have been working at Continental Guest Services

    Pros

    Get to meet a lot of great people! It is a wonferful interim place to work for if you need flexibility with your schedule...ie actors/students.

    Cons

    Very difficult to advance or get raises (they do not exist). Concierge position, but it's really a sales job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It would be nice to have a company party of some sorts at the end of the year or bring back bonuses!

    hectic schedule and you have to be very patient to work with clients that want you to do the impossible for them
