    I worked at Convergys full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    During my time at Convergys, I had challenging work to do. I had great support from my management and built high performing teams. There is a strong focus on clients and performance in support of their businesses. I found good performance to be well rewarded. I had opportunities to grow my career over time. Company benefits were reasonable and supported work/life balance. Would rejoin the team if the right opportunity arose.

    Cons

    BPO environments aren't for everyone. Most programs are 24x7, 365 days a year, which means sometimes it's hard to find the work/life balance. BPO's usually have lower compensations rates than industry counterparts, so know that going into a position.

    Keep focused on the balance between client and employee needs.

    Pros

    Support from every angle. Management always available. Lots of incentives for agents. This job requires self discipline and responsibility, if you make excuses and don't perform, if you can't show up, this job is not for you.

    Cons

    System updates constantly, but it makes the system better each time.

    Hiring process should include people with more customer service background. Sometimes hires people with Shady work experience, and who are negative in the environment.

    Pros

    Friendly work environment, opportunity to climb the ladder. A lot of floor support and coachings so you can be the best. This is a great place to start a career. Cash Bonus for good stats. Pay raises based on attendance.

    Cons

    Sometimes you can get bad advise from management. If you don't have a friendly demeanor it can be easy to make customers mad. You have to speak on behalf of the company whether you agree with it or not.

    Pros

    I learned more from my boss at Convergys than any other supervisor I have worked for. Place truly cared about their employees and dealt with everything fairly.

    Cons

    Lower salary than other companies in the same market. Hard work but good people to work with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get the WATTS marketing team back! They got too big and too corporate. Completely lost their entrepreneurial edge.
