    Pros

I needed a job & they hired me. Salary wasn't great, jobsite was so so. This was in 1981-92. Hpoefully things have changed.

    Cons

Salary low. Basically taking advantage of the poor. Extreme pressure to keep0 delinquents low, i.e. under 3.5%

    Advice to Management

Saw a man have a heart attack chasing corporate America's money. Mgmt, loosen up a bit.

    Pros

:Hours were Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm. Great vacation and sick day benefits.

    Cons

No room for growth. Health insurance was very expensive. Most of upper management was nice but I felt like it wasn't very sincere.

    Pros

Nice office staff, but some made working there difficult. Set hours no overtime, no weekends

    Cons

Daily production required, some favoritism when making assignments. You work in a cube farm and some people demanded absolute quiet and complained at the slightest noise. The benefits were terrible.

    Advice to Management

Make changes in the cube farm to deaden the noise more. Production levels were unreasonable

    Pros

Everyone is pretty friendly and pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Insurance benefits are sub-par. You can do well and make good money if you are male or are able to overcome the old school stereotype associated with women. It is difficult as CorVel is a "boys club".

    no crazy overtime.
    good life-work balance.
not a whole lot of head games.
good coaching from manager, even though at times it can get micromanaged.
    great longevity in job tenures.
great quality in work, even though it can be tedious and bore some.

    Cons

    crazy strict dress code,
    benefits need major improvement,
major lack of communication and meetings in the company. old school and not progressive at all. perfect for people who don't like people interaction. meetings are just for managers, employees keep working to produce as much work as possible.
it can have the feeling of a boy's old club
    lots of superiority and ego

    Pros

Working for CorVel has been an experience, it hasn't been horrible, but it really hasn't been the best...for me. Corvel focuses on providing the best solutions to managing workers compensation claims, they provide the technology to get the work completed efficiently. They also promotes working independently; a self learner if you like working alone.

    Cons

Corvel doesn't offer the best training programs, for a company that revolved around labor codes, there should be a program to ensure that their employees how to answer questions regarding worker compensation process before they start managing claims. Also the perks and benefits don't really compensate for the amount of work you're assigned to. Too much work not enough reward.
