I have been working at Core Laboratories as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent pay and awesome co-workers

    Cons

Unstable job security, there's no SOP for training. You'll be lost on your own at time

I worked at Core Laboratories full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The working environment for the most part is good. I found working relationships with other employees to be fairly good. I was able to form friendships and good working relationships with other employees.

    Cons

Management has no apparent regard for employees. The only apparent concern of management is the company income. The majority of employees I know at Core Lab feel as though management would prefer they quit so under paid temporary employees can be hired as replacements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to become aware that without quality employees they have no chance of providing quality service to clients. Employees need to feel valued by management or they will either not produce quality work or will quit and find employment elsewhere.

I have been working at Core Laboratories full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the ppl here are really nice and quite easy to get a along with. Easy to make long lasting friends because of the "common denominator".

    Cons

Where do I even start. I use to love my job but after management changed it became very sneaky, secretive, and shady. I probably wouldn't recommend this company to anyone unless its for the experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to keep your employees, treat them well!

I have been working at Core Laboratories

    Pros

Brand new facility located right off of 225

    Cons

Worse communication I have ever seen in my career in this industry. For some reason, when a customer places and order, the paperwork does not make it into the lab for the people who test it. Apparently, it is the people who test it to do everyones elses' job trying to get the paperwork.
This seems like a very simple fix yet it actually costs the loss of business and loss of important clients. But somehow it still happens almost everyweek.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be 1 manager to several people, not several managers for one person. There are 2 people on lab shift work scheduled, during the day there are 5+ Managers and supervisors. At night, there are 0, zilch, nada
