    Pros

Very affordable high quality health insurance benefits even for PT employees. Great for working parents who split up child care and need coverage. The key to succeeding at Costco is to work hard, have a good attitude and be nice to people. It's hard work and fasted paced, you have to be down for that to succeed.

    Cons

At this warehouse you are required to work 5 days per week, even if you are PT at 24 or so hours. This means lots of 4-5 hour shifts rather than fewer 8 hour shifts which is tough for those who commute a long distance to work or have to cover day care.

    Advice to Management

Allow the PT staff at 24/hours per week or so to work 4/6 hour shifts or 3/8 hour shifts rather than 4 and 5 hour shifts. it gets expensive for those who commute a long distance to work or have to cover day care.

    Pros

The pay and benefits are second to none. I have worked for Costco over 10 years and I am topped out with 4 weeks vacation + sick days. I also receive two bonuses twice a year and Costco usually contributes over $2,000 dollars a year to my retirement plan.

    Cons

Lots of drama goes on in the workplace. Can be noisy and frustrating at times. People are paid the same rate as others whether they know how to do one job or five jobs. Not enough supervision on floor at times.

    Advice to Management

Try and not let too many employees off at the same time. When we are really busy you can see the need for more equipment and employees.

    Pros

Working at a unionized Costco gives you job security. As well as that, your hourly wages increase pretty often. You also learn to work in a fast paced environment

    Cons

Most jobs at Costco are not a walk in the park. Expect to do a lot of heavy lifting, work long hours, and encounter rude people on a daily basis

    Advice to Management

Employees are always more apt to working hard when you work with them. Treat employees as teammates rather than people below you

    Pros

You start with good pay and benefits they work with your school schedule, its easy mindless work. for a great price.

    Cons

Work under idiots who treat you like an idiot. a ton of butt kissing. promotions are based on who kissed the managers butt the most and who has work there the longest not who is most capable.

    Pros

Decent wage Great benefits Bi-yearly bonuses after you reach a certain amount of hours worked Max salary for any employee is roughly $40-45k

    Cons

It's just a little too tedious and monotonous for me.

    Advice to Management

Make it easier to get time off. There are hundreds of employees, find a way to accommodate the few that might want a day off at the same time.

Management should allow employees to complete certain jobs as that employee sees fit as long as it is within acceptable practices.

    Advice to Management

Understand that your location may be understaffed.
