Aside from the normal growing pains, there really are no complaints. There's room for advancement, and experience in many technologies is available if one is willing to learn.

I have been working at Coupons.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Food - ALL FREE - varied daily lunch, free food truck days, perk days with ice cream and cotton candy, office perks like cereal, popsicles.

Culture - relaxed, collaborative, regular tournaments & team outings. Fun holiday related competitions. People mostly nice, some a little snobby, no one is mean.

Work - good balance, I don't feel overly stressed, management placed goals are attainable. Yearly goals are clearly stated, lots of upward mobility potential. Rarely have to work on the nights or weekends.

    Cons

It's not as cool sounding as other Silicon Valley companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good job - The culture is getting better.

I have been working at Coupons.com

    Pros

Great people: most employees are easy to approach and get along with.
    Fast-paced environment.
    Free food, beverages, and snacks.
    Good health benefits.
The company is doing a lot to improve the culture, they just started offering fitness classes.

    Cons

The work hours can be very long, some of the employees in upper management seem harder to approach and relate to.

The CEO is barely visible, which is odd for such a small company. Unless you are in upper-management, most employees only know him via e-mails and company-wide meetings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fully embrace the open and easy-going culture of other Sillicon Valley companies like Google and Facebook. The company is taking baby steps towards having a more relaxed culture, it takes more than just bean bags and a game room because right now it all feels like a cheap imitation... maybe it's because the company is 10+ years old so it's not really a start-up... old habits die hard.
