Saginaw, MI

Current Employee – been working at Covenant HealthCare

ProsGenerous benefit package
Paid time off
Educational assistance
Wage raises even during recession
Annual bonus checks from unused vacation hours

ConsLower wage rates compared to area hospitals
Treated as a number and not a name
Management focused only on patient satisfaction, not employee well-being
Understaffed and overworked
Recognition based on your job title and education level

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior management needs to look out for employees more. The hospital is overstaffed in some departments and understaffed in others. In the understaffed departments, such as nursing units, employees are overworked. This reflects in patient safety and satisfaction.
