    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your employees more, don't forget about internal guest. Dont talk to employees as if you own them, yes we may only be worth a few dollars an hour to you but remember we are humans and can't do everything an we are worth so much more than a few dollars.

I have been working at Cracker Barrel full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Scheduling is flexible -- even for the restaurant industry.

    Cons

The customers are terrible! Get ready for older people / couples who leave you $1 in dimes and nickels. Also people who expect things for free. You have to work EVERY major holiday. Management is very rude and abrasive about shift changes and any time you make a mistake (mistakes happen!! Especially in a high volume restaurant! You should only be reprimanded for repeat offenses)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop catering to your customer's ridiculous demands at the expense of your profit margin!! Too many comps for ridiculous reasons..... the customer is NOT always right and the mentality is RUINING the industry. Furthermore, train your management to treat the servers and back of house staff like people as opposed to worker ants who are disposable.

I worked at Cracker Barrel full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Most of my coworkers were fun to work with, and helpful.

    Cons

They micromanage everything. More than needed. Not flexible or understanding for mothers or students. Management played favorites with the servers. More often than not, there were too many servers on the floor which made it difficult for anyone to make any decent money.
