    Pros

If you are a restaurant manager or interested in becoming a restaurant manager, CB is a great place to work. They have an excellent training program that promotes growth. The starting salary is comparable to industry standards, but the opportunity for advancement is extremely progressive. It is not unrealistic for an Associate to obtain GM status within 2-4 years, but that promotion is entirely self-driven.

    Cons

Long 10+ hour days five days a week without any consistency in shifts. You may open one day, close the next and work mid the third. And of course, all holidays. But, that is the restaurant business.

    Pros

Very good benefits and community for the employees. I love working for this company, I believe in the company and what they stand for!

    Cons

It's always difficult in minimum wage type jobs with many coworkers coming and going. However in my experience at 3 different CB the management has done their best to hire as well as possible!

    Advice to Management

remember when you do come in to a store, try not to change so much, there is employees who have been there for 20 years or more. they know more than you about the store.

    Pros

The flexibility allowed me to be home with my children as much as possible while providing a great pay. The company offers a nice 401k.

    Cons

Having never served before, working on the holidays was challenging because I missed family gatherings for a few years. The time I would be scheduled was often more times than not, the time that I left for the day/night. For example, if I was scheduled until 9:00pm and business was slow, I would be sent home between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. The complete opposite would apply as well. This is however, the nature of the business.

    Advice to Management

Aim for overall consistency. Communicate clearly and effectively. When there is an issue to be resolved do so on the spot and professionally. When a moment is due for recognition that should be recognized on the spot. This will ensure consistency.
