Current Employee – been working at Credit Suisse full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – A great place to work in. A lot of philanthropic events, and great individuals to meet and learn from. Credit Suisse has provided me with a great experience and challenges.
Cons – In general, challenging environments to work in the financial industry. As teams shrink and have been downsizing, it is challenging to find different opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management – Implement and make decisions quicker. The management does a great job informing others of changes. They promote and work with employees to make things work.

Current Employee – been working at Credit Suisse part-time for more than 10 years
Pros – the best part of working at Credit Suisse is the people. my co-workers and the investment bankers are appreciative, there is a collegial environment, and i felt like a valued member of the team.
Cons – Credit Suisse suffers from poor management -- and as they continue to cull their support staff functions this will only be exacerbated.
Advice to Senior Management – my advice to upper management would be to talk to the "man on the street" -- the remaining folks below manager level who are there who are working as fast and as hard as they can. they can often problem-solve solutions better than their managers, and are a great resource to fix big picture problems that will continue to plague the financial services industry, i suspect, for a long time. it's too bad you have cut so many talented, smart people (myself among them) but i had a great, very long run at Credit Suisse, and will remember and value the experience my whole life.

Current Employee – been working at Credit Suisse full-time for more than a year
Pros – This is clearly a large company and leader in its space. The analyst program is a solid place to learn M&A and corporate finance. Colleagues will be very sharp and motivated.
Cons – Give its size, the company is Institutional bordering on bureaucratic. The M&A group for Analysts meant a see of cubicles. Moreover, my experience was 2000-01 and it's clearly a tougher time in the market now

Current Employee – been working at Credit Suisse as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Some of the latest technologies being adopted, which makes it easier to implement the most challenging Swiss regulations.
Cons – Some of the colleagues are not promoted to the level in the company they are supposed to be, they are being left out just because they don't fight for that.
