    Pros

Good benefits if you stick with Crescent for 2+years or salaried employee

Difficult to get recognized by management for performance
No one wants to answer your questions-you feel like you're "bothering" people

I have been working at Crescent Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Nice hotels
    Good pay in some locations

    Cons

VPs of Sales, Operations and Revenue Management just stuck around so long they got promoted to where they are. Most are not qualified. Overreact to everything. They think the way to manage is to bully. Very unprofessional. If you are thinking about working with Crescent, remember all they think about is the owners not the employees. They make hotel level people feel like they will never be promoted because they are always critical.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please really live the culture statements you say you live by. Treat your employees with respect. Do Associate opinion surveys that that employees feel they can answer truthfully.

    Pros

When other company changed hands after 7 plus years to go out and find a new job in the area that was not hiring, a half loaf is better than none.

    Cons

Certain jobs are Union and others are not.Company will do everything in thier power to avoid paying scale wages or hourly overtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize your good employee and offer them growth not use for your own growth. If I had a another job offer I would not even think twice, 2 college degrees & you keep me in the basement of a 35 yr old Hotel.

I have been working at Crescent Hotels & Resorts (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and pay. Management is disgusting. We are all treated as servants for the greater good.... ha ha. their good.

    Cons

Management are bullies. Hired guns to assure the bottom line is met, no matter the cost.
Senior personnel good at stealing accounts and pretending they are theirs.... once they're caught- you're gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making people feel like minions. We work as hard as anyone.

I have been working at Crescent Hotels & Resorts

    Pros

About the only positive thing they have done for employees is to build a smoking shack so the leppers cant be seen by our guests. Since we live in a rainy area it works out great. Good work crescent you rock! NOT!!

    Cons

These lazy big city slickers have come to a rural area, promising the world and delivered nothing. Management is either on the golf course during the day or in the lounge at night. They are evil!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go away. We hate you

I have been working at Crescent Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company has established training provided. Their mgmt contracts are set up for Owners to disengage with 30 day notice, hence the company boasts strong growth as a result of the attractive clauses for ownership groups. They have established goals to reach and lofty sales goals. The bonus structure is sometimes difficult to understand for managers.

    Cons

No one from the GM level up takes accountability therefore VERY HIGH TURNOVER. Some are there for years but very few. Staff is always pressed and very hard to make good bonus. Several VP's have no clue how to work with managers. Rather blame for everything and little if any support due to the volume of hotels they have each. HIGHLY INSENSITIVE TO ON PROPERTY MANAGERS. This is a terrible company to work for. If you want to get beat up, loss of self esteem and morale this is your company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat staff with respect, without them you would not be drawing a paycheck. Support the managers and lead by example.Stop pointing fingers and help be successful. Lazy VP's and senior managers.
