    Pros

Hands off style. Give SMEs professional latitude. Timely settlement of travel claims.

    Cons

Pay below industry standards. Does not focus on branding like its competitors, which may hurt them.

    Advice to Management

Don't underbid work. Pay your SMEs more.

    Pros

Long career, learned many skills, gained education, made many friends

    Cons

The longer you are there the more likely to be "restructured". Used to be a saying from the founder "you can't buy experience" but recent changes in leadership do not value the same.

    Advice to Management

None, they are doing their best.

    Pros

9/80 work weeks are pretty nice. It's a fairly laid back work environment.

    Cons

The CALS art team has more interns than full-time employees. It's kind of ridiculous, it reflects badly on the company, and it makes it seem like they're just hiring all the cheap labor they can get, which is super shady.

    Advice to Management

Hire more full-timers! Or if not, pay more. The wages aren't competitive at all.

Good place to work....now that focus on future technology

    Cons

Was focused on past performance rather than looking forward

    Advice to Management

    Invest in new technology

    Pros

This company provides great opportunities and possible international exposure. The 9/80 work schedule is very nice and benefits and salaries are comparable.

    Cons

The building, management and systems are all very dated. There is a big focus on the VPs and executives, but the thick working level seems to be forgotten at times. Systems are very, very old and cause many manual work arounds and inefficiencies.

    Advice to Management

Add more middle management and training.

    Pros

No benefits as an intern, but flexible work hours and friendly, competent coworkers who welcome you into all aspects of the job.

    Cons

At times there was a lack of work to be done, but demand goes through different seasons at Cubic, with varying workloads.

    Pros

Very challenging and rewarding work, innovative company willing to try new ways of managing projects and willing to invest in training project teams to maximize success.

    Cons

Wages a bit below the average but overall a very good company to work for.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking at new and innovative ways of delivering company projects and keep training your staff to keep your competitive edge in the marketplace over you competitors.

    Pros

Work-life balance correlates with the Southern California atmosphere. Relaxed and flexible when it counts, if you show up and dig in when it's time to work. Enthusiasm placed on empowering employees to better themselves both within the company and outside.

    Cons

Cubic has been around for quite a while, so accepting new ways of doing business aren't easily entertained. San Diego is expensive. Compensation could use a cost of living adjustment.
