I have been working at Culver's part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I was always getting raises, the owner was very generous and gave all the employees presents or money for holidays and anniversaries. pretty good hours, and they work well with a busy schedule.

    Cons

Very strict on what you have to do, and sometimes not very nice about it. The training needs to be a little more extensive. They tend to just throw you in.

    I worked at Culver's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

It may vary from location to location, but the people and relaxed work environment made it a fun place to work.

    Cons

Management was hard on employees at times because of a stressful work environment, but overall was not bad at all.

I have been working at Culver's part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very flexible! I worked there for about 5 years, and felt as comfortable at my end of days working at Culvers, as I did when I first started. Great group of people I have seen at the Culver's where I worked at. Whether you are working in the kitchen or up front taking orders, regardless everyone has to have a great personality to fit in.

    Cons

Some people may view how fast you need to be at Culver's to be successful. Culver's is a very busy place, and requires fast reaction time; especially working in the kitchen.

    I worked at Culver's part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - Give you plenty of training
    - The atmosphere is typically positive
    - Most management are fully aware of their responsibilities
    - Plenty of opportunity to gain customer service skills

    Cons

    - Scheduling was sometimes difficult
    - Always training incompetent new hires
    - Difficult to move up in ranking, as favoritism was obvious at some locations

I have been working at Culver's full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

It's a good place where you can bond with coworkers; lots of eagerness to work as a team. Easy-going atmosphere outside of rush hours; fun place to get to interact with many different kinds of people. You really get to be close friends with some of your crew managers and other crew members. You get a good amount of hours each week, and generally job tasks are very simple and easy to accomplish.

Training went pretty smoothly and if you make a mistake while working, friendly coworkers willing to help you fix the mistake and let you improve without the worry of impending harsh judgement.

    - Strict but understandable dress code.

    Cons

Overworked and not paid the deserved compensation, even at minimum wage. Many lazy coworkers that resulted in too much work being put on for driven workers. Too many moments where I had to take on 4 tasks at once to get jobs done and help customers while other employees reluctant to help out as they joked around in the back of the restaurant (general unprofessional-ism). High amounts of stress. If you are open and accepting about taking other people's hours that don't wish to work, or coming to work on day-offs when they call you in, upper management takes advantage of that entirely and works you until you're sore.

Not much respect for employee mental health with lack of disciplinary for the workers that slack off.

    - No piercings.
    - No "unnatural"/"crazy" hair colors.

I have been working at Culver's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you like working a ton of hours then work here. We had a shortage of employees so I was working about 24 hours a week. I'm only 16. Regardless of that it's a nice work environment.

    Cons

You'r supposed to get a pay raise every 6 months but that doesn't happen. It really sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give workers the same respect you would want from an employer. Don't get mad at every little thing they do wrong.

    I worked at Culver's part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced work environment, friendly culture from top management down two staff. Scheduling is flexible around family and other stuff going on, so that is a big plus! Many are franchised out, and I was lucky enough to work for one that was well aware of this.

    Cons

Usually no benefits and paid on an hourly wage.. Promotions and raises are fairly low and far between across all staff and management levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate better across all staff for clear direction, training overall is pretty good, would of been nice to see a bit more compensation for those who work harder, etc.
