Prosthe people are great to work with (mid management and below). overall a good place to work.

Consfor people on office hours there is not enough offered for work/life balancing. there used to be a 9-80 schedule worked, but it was stopped.

Advice to Senior Managementtry to genuinely listen to the people--don't just go through the motions by taking surveys and doing nothing. really listen to what is going on day to day and react.

Interesting company, products, and industry, continuing to grow and evolve after numerous acquisitions over past decade.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSmall-company atmosphere with lots of flexibility, freedom, and autonomy in work tasks; attitude at operations facility level of willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done and satisfy the customer. Lots of great people committed to doing a great job and helping out across departmental lines.

ConsCon of a small-company environment: opportunities for advancement beyond 1st-line management comparatively few and far between. Some upper management isolation and apparent lack of understanding of actual working-level operations i.e. what it takes (and what the challenges are) to get the job done on a recurring basis. Integration of acquired businesses relatively immature to date -- more 'silos' than integrated business units.

Advice to Senior ManagementBeware risks and hidden costs of minimal department staffing levels -- low depth and/or combined roles in key areas may present problems over time. Articulate more strategic vision to provide appropriate emphasis beyond current quarter and year performance.
