Pros – The atmosphere at D&B is friendly. Upper management is slowly coming to understand that the current business model cannot be sustained long-term.
Cons – The upper management has be slow to truly embrace the "new economy" where data is a commodity. Most groups do not encourage innovation. The funding model is inflexible.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop worrying about placating the shareholders short-term to protect the stock price.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – D&B is a very solid company, with a great reputation, and a significant number of long-term, smart employees. Their data and processes for aggregation and maintenance are very good.
Cons – D&B has undergone strategic changes to their sales organizational structure, which has limited the number of accounts for sales reps, as well as, limited their reach specific to product use. This, in turn, culminated in sales reps competing for dollars and prioritization within the same organization which became chaotic and bad for morale. Sales team resources have also been taken away and the rep is fully accountable for the sale process, administration, implementation, and continued relationship nurturing and validation of ROI.
Advice to Senior Management – Working with global businesses is a challenge with no current solution due to the international data agreements and lack of consistent international solution. In addition, new training options (virtual and instructor-led) are necessary to assist with customer adoption; consulting hours should be mandatory in all contracts. Best practices could be better shared across the sales teams.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at D&B
Pros – D&B has a culture that encourages sharing feedback and creating a career path that allows you to build skills that will help you reach your career goals.
Cons – Like many large organizations, it can be difficult to find the appropriate resources you need which can be frustrating at times.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to share information through town halls and communications with the employees. It helps employees feel like senior leadership places importance on their employees

I worked at D&B
Pros – Strong culture with quarterly reviews processed accross the board. Feedback and a pay for performance culture. In Short Hills, HQ, only the Global Leadership team (17 +) have offices. Everyone else treated equally with the same cubes.
Cons – Slash and burn focus on cost and savings. Attempts and talk to change tried over the years but it seems to never change.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep quarterly reviews and continue to drive customer focus before the competition takes over. More communication from the top s

I worked at D&B
Pros – If you meet your sales goals; you are very well compensated with montly bonus(s). I feel that upper management (outside of the sales office) puts huge pressures on the managers within the center to threaten the sales staff about loosing their jobs. We were reminded almost daily that our jobs are easily replaceable, and the "share holders" don't want anyone here that was not making the goal. I was the top performer, and with that comes constant pressures to maintain, and exceed each month. At the end of each month - EVERYONE forgot what you did the month before. It was a lot of pressure.
Cons – Enormous amount of pressure to meet sales goals, and relentless reminders that you’re job will be compromised if sales goals are not met.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep your sales staff happy. They're the reason you have share holders. Make them mad, and expect it in your financials.

I have been working at D&B
Pros – Growth Opportunity, Winning Culture, Team enironment, Benefits are great (401K, Health, Dental, etc)
Cons – Sometimes external Business partners may not fully understand what you and your team are doing for the company, as a result they can lead to poor decsions when it comes to down sizing
Advice to Senior Management – Learn what the teams are actually doing, and how impactful they are, rather than just saying it's duplicated effort.
