    Pros

The new Site Leader has done nothing but make this a better place to be. He has transformed the building, and is transforming the people and the other leaders in the building. He admits the opportunities and is honest with his answers. I am impressed at the changes he has made. I have been here 5 years and have never seen the site have a better culture and better morale. Dish offers tons of opportunity, and the leaders are now being required to help you prepare for that opportunity. The people are great, the site is clean and a nice place to work. It just keeps getting better.

    Cons

If you are negative or want to be a bully or inconsiderate of others you will not make it here. The days of favoritism and being pushed around are over. There are only a handful of truly negative people left. The health insurance could be better. Shift bids are terrible.

    Advice to Management

The management of Melissa, Diana, Romero, OB and Bob keep doing it. I know that it has been almost a year, but Dish Phoenix is better than it has ever been. The fear is gone, the negativity is going away. With each old school negative person that leaves, you have made the place better and better. Keep focusing on developing us, keep having roundtables, keep caring. You are winning and it is working.

    Pros

The Suport we receive is great. Dish is ever evolving and this will ensure that Dish is around for many years to come. If you are a hard worker and embrace change in this ever changing market you will do well here. Dish has also made huge improvements over the past few years trying hard to better the employee experience as well as the customer experience. And they have it as a top priority to continue to get better. Bottom line this is an awesome place to work if you are willing to give it your all

    Cons

This can be a great place to work if your committed but if your looking for a job that requires a bare minimum of execution you will likely not be happy here.

    Pros

Smart co workers and lot of knowledge sharing. Great place to learn new things and work with cutting edge data science tool.

    Cons

Pretty strict about 9-4 working hours, since a customer service business. Makes sense but still too rigid. They can relax it a bit because most people generally like to be on time

    Advice to Management

    Can't think of anything

    Pros

I will admit I was wary to start at DISH after reading the reviews, but most of the reviews come from front-line employees, not corporate. And yeah, those jobs probably do suck (call center agents, installers, etc.) But at corporate, I've had nothing but a great experience. If you are a culture fit, you have limitless options to grow at the company. The biggest pro is that you can transfer to another department that you have little to no experience in (if you're a good employee that is) and they will train you and help you learn a completely new skillset. If you have an all-arounder mentality, this is an awesome place you hone and develop new skills. You also don't have to wait a year for a promotion. I received one within my first 6 months.

    Cons

Because the company is constantly growing with the industry, sometimes the path can be a bit unclear, you you have to figure things out together to move forward. Because of the constant change in certain areas, some departments can be a bit disorganized at times.

    Advice to Management

There should be a marketing campaign to promote the DISH corporate employee brand. People get the wrong idea because of the call center agents and techs complaining... but corporate is a great place to work.

    Pros

Opportunity to be part of changing technology. Ongoing leadership training. Energetic, fun environment with great coworkers.

    Cons

Benefits could be improved. Silos are coming down, but we need more attention on collaboration between departments.

    Advice to Management

We need to ensure we balance employees in the mix. You are headed in the right direction. Don't let up and continue to care for employees and make DISH a great place to work.

    Pros

DISH employees have a great culture of PAW: Pride, Adventure, and Winning. The employees work hard and they are striving to be the best in their industry. If employees are dedicated, passionate, and good at what they do, they will go far.

    Cons

The public's view of DISH needs to become more positive. Right now, the public has a bad taste in their mouth about DISH and that needs to change.

    Advice to Management

Recognize your top talent and give employees the opportunity to grow.

    Pros

Good pay for amount of work required. After a while doing install is not that hard. Minimum requirements are not hard to meet for the install technicians. A lot of people complain about the maximums being so high to get bonuses but those numbers are not required. The company does push for us to hit those numbers but no one is going to be fired over not hitting them. In my area hitting 40 hours is normal, sometimes I don't hit 40 but overtime is available in the summer so you can always make up what you lost earlier in the year. The company provides their technicians with plenty of training to be successful. You only work 4 days a week, having 3 days off is nice. You definitely know what is expected of you.

    Cons

Philadelphia houses suck, 80% of the time your going on the upper roof to install the dish. The company's safety policy forces me to drop more jobs than I would like to because of power lines on the houses which brings down my numbers. Some of the metrics that dish judges you on you can't control like completion rate and connectivity. A lot of people in philly do not have Internet and the csr people keep giving customers Hopper sets that don't need them. Sales, the quota for sales keeps going up, it can be annoying to have to meet those quotas every month. Not only are we install technicians but we're also traveling salesman. Since the company keeps moving in that direction you need to either get with the program or eventually the company is not going to need your services anymore. Sales are not a suggestion they are a requirement, almost more important that actually doing a good install. I have seen crap techs get praise because they are smooth talkers and have a lot of sales.

    Advice to Management

If your tech takes time to make an installation look good please praise them on it every time you see it. Call before you visit our work.
