    Pros

Overtime. Coworkers are nice, fsms do their best when they aren't overwhelmed. Incentives and bonuses, flexibility in scheduling, company provided tools, uniforms, equipment, van, gas.

    Cons

Sales. It's awful, selling generally over priced items that most people have or don't really need. Dish is incredibly pushy regarding sales. The hiring process: stop hiring any person willing to work and start being more selective with who you hire. Make the initial entry tests harder, or create a way to weed out those who will most certainly be a poor employee.

    Advice to Management

Make sales optional, not required. Just let us do our jobs without the threats of being fired if we don't sell your stuff.

    Pros

The atmosphere is friendly. The call center is constantly working on some community project. Occasionally free Nachos or even "Super Nachos". The benefits are good not great. 401k was 3% match of 0.50 for each $1 and 5 years till vestment, dental, vision, health.

    Cons

Working QA, you get put under crushing production targets, shifting metrics while management fumbles around trying to squeeze more evals out of you. The persistent threat of having your job outsourced. Your feedback isn't valued unless its for some ridiculous team coloring/game exercise. If you aren't doing well, they don't provide any reasonable remediation, it's just "What's not working for you? oh we're trying to help". The guidelines have too many undefined grey areas which will be used to end your career.

    Advice to Management

If someone has doubts about their own effectiveness in their role but shows interest in returning to a previous role which they excelled at, don't discourage them.

    Pros

Mover and shaker company, visionary, overall great people, company invested in training managers and employees, growth and opportunity always encouraged.

    Cons

Challenges with communication, employee morale. Rate of change can be too fast.

    Advice to Management

Be as invested in your team as possible, at all levels, if possible. Engage, encourage, and empathize with your employees. Help them understand the why's of change, and communicate to them as best you can that journey.

    Pros

I basically worked from home. I didn't have a manager looking over my shoulder every second. I was responsible for managing my time efficiently, and only occasionally had a manager show up on a job sight to touch bases with me. Great position for independent people who work well alone. Normal schedule was only 4 days/wk. Lots of OT

    Cons

I probably spent more time driving than actually doing installs. Lots of driving.
Occasionally had problems receiving correct resupplies.
Some managers liked to nitpick small things when they would show up on a job sight.
Work itinerary would sometimes be changed in the middle of the day without notice, or extra jobs would be added to the end of your shift after you thought you were done for the day.

    Pros

People make the day. Teaching and learning new things every day to expand on growing with the company.

    Cons

Out of our control, but customers can be utterly exhausting and stressful.

    Advice to Management

Skewing statistics and metrics toward what is going on at the time is the easiest way to boost moral, lower attrition and improve the metrics being measured.
