    Outside work company tools,van, gas card and cell phone

    Cons

    Micromanaging, to many bosses pay does not match workload. Changed promotion structure making it very difficult to be promoted. To much third party involvement work orders very rarely correct customers constantly given the wrong information. Impossible goals techs judged on things that our in no way in there control.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remove heads from butts please if you don't take care of the people installing your equipment the job won't be done right.

    Pros

    Great place to work and make good money. They give you opportunity to make bonuses and always have good incentives and fun things for us to do. You can miss 5 days every 3 months without getting fired and you get vacation after working for 90 days.

    Cons

    You can get stuck on a bad shift

    Pros

    I love my job, i love that i write my own paychecks with no salary cap. I love the perks and the product i sell.

    Cons

    None for me as of yet in 2 years I even have flexibility with shift swaps to have three day weekends when needed to spare vacation time and to not lose sales pipe

    Pros

    Decent starting wage, advancement possible, paid overtime, 4-day workweeks, paid training, tools and uniform provided, van and gas provided, nice biweekly bonuses possible, paid holidays.

    Cons

    Working 1 or both weekend days. Work until work is done, can't plan anything on evenings of working days. Work most holidays except Christmas and Thanksgiving now optional. Numbers/performance-based bonus and advancement and annual raise program that can be unfair (but is evolving and improvements are being made). Attitude of distrust between upper management and technicians. Perceived micromanagement from upper management.

    Learn to trust employees a little more and not assume the worst. All the tracking is unnecessary and feeds paranoia.

    Pros

    I've been able to work in multiple business units and did so moving laterally and with promotions. Great opportunities to learn and contribute if you are willing to work hard - even in areas that are new to you, they will take a chance on people.

    The company is aggressive, we are not afraid to change course and try new things, while maintaining focus on the customer. We are in a great competitive position today and continue to look for ways to improve.

    The company accommodated me when a change in my personal life required a move from this market - into a new position from a home base, one that would not have typically been a home based position - and allowed me to continue my career. This is consistent with my overall experience with my management - focused on their team in addition to their customers.

    Cons

    I think for some, our pace can be a challenge - as we are not afraid to make a change in product, offer, message - if we believe that it is one that makes us better. It's exciting to be a part of.

    Pros

    Impressive training courses, great benefits, extra pay incentives for performance, and team oriented atmosphere focused on success. Fantastic company to work for, I thoroughly enjoyed my training with Matt R. at the Riverfront-Littleton, CO location. He gave me all the tools and knowledge I need for personal and professional success. I have never worked for a company with such friendly and knowledgeable employees, and I believe those that complain about this company do not invest in their own success and therefore are not rewarded by the company. Put in the effort and the company will take care of you, and reward you for your work.

    Cons

    There are many challenges to overcome on a daily basis, the interview and training process can become overwhelming, and there is not much available time to complete all necessary tasks. With good time management and organization these obstacles are easily overcome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I would advise management to offer more one-on-one training opportunities to the employees that may struggle in certain areas as well as less restriction on the time taken between calls while working on issues of customer service (updating memos, etc.) but overall it's a good company to work for.

    It was a great experience right after the college. Great atmosphere and work environment.

    Cons

    Hiring process was tooooo long. It took forever for HR people to move application forward.

    Keep doing the great job and look for recent college grads.

    PFP rules are ridiculous. Customer satisfaction should not be the biggest indicator of good performance. Sometimes a customer is just mad.

    Pros

    99% of the people I have had the privilege to work within the past 7 years are some of the most honest, hard-working, caring, and humorous I've ever met. Dish gives us the opportunity to make this a career and not just a job. From Agents to Managers there are opportunities to travel, give personal feedback for improvements, and participate in changes. On every salary level this is a fast paced and tough job with challenges daily. Top performers are rewarded monetarily and/or through career opportunities. The Hilliard CSC is consistently ranked the top site in Dish and it's because of the hard work and dedication of its employees.

    Cons

    To the 1% of the current and past employees who hide behind an anonymous website to criticize, spread rumors, and blatantly lie....from Teddy Roosevelt's speech commonly called 'The Man in the Arena' I will say this to you: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat." So to those who are not in the ‘arena’ with the rest of us to make Dish, Hilliard, and this team better; I 'm really not interested in your criticism. Come talk to me face to face - you know where my office is.

    Our culture is ever changing and improving. We need to keep focus on the positive, recognize those who do well and those who try their hardest. Continue to improve the site from the suggestions we get from our employees. There will always be the ‘naysayers’ but those are the minority. Keep your heads high and keep working hard to make this a great place to work!
