Good but can be better

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Danone full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGood benefits, work life balance. Friendly colleagues in general, at least in front of you but becareful there are backstabbings/politics. Good for those who put family as 1st priority above career and want a stable job without much stress

ConsPolitics, boring, lack of support & direction from mgmt. Not good for those who are ambitious, who wants to climb the career ladder and seeking a challenging and exciting career.

Advice to Senior ManagementSet clear strategy and work with the team. Recognize the effort of those who perform and not just base on skin color or nationality

A Good Start!

Supply Chain (Current Employee)
Ealing, England (UK)

I have been working at Danone full-time for more than a year

Pros-The people are driven and kind and helpful
-There is free water and yoghurt in the office
-There is opportunity to move in your department
-They are supportive and always put family first
-They have weekly 1-2-1’s with your line manager and regular performance reviews
-Lots of training avalible
-Raises your self-awareness

Cons-The don’t pay in line with FMCG and are very open about this
-They are thinning out middle management so you are left with a lot of tasks and not a lot of time for finding optimisation projects or improvements
-If you don’t 100% fit the culture of CODE in the way they want you will get overlooked
-They care more about the how you got the result then the result itself
- They go back on their word in regards to social issues to save money
-You will never get the 133% stretch bonus as the benchmark is always changing and moving
- There is bias in roles and promotion and salary
- You get ahead by being a yes man to your director

Advice to Senior ManagementGive more autonomy let people challenge the status quo and pay better to keep the good people.

I worked at Danone full-time for more than 5 years

ProsGlobally, is a good company to work for. Nice colleagues, nice working environement. Some interresting projects, even if responsabilities are limited.

ConsRepeated projects, old fashioned computers, limited ressources. Mainly because of financial issues, the Management is sometimes difficult to convience about the new trends or the most appropriate solution.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer more freedon to employees to innovate !
