Cons – Only 10 days vacation to start, raises seem to be incremental rather than promotion based

Advice to Senior Management – Convert to PTO rather than vacation/sick. Give salary bumps when moving in roles/title rather than a slightly larger incremental

Pros – The people here really are amazing. I'm sure a lot of people say that, but it's true here! During the introduction and interview process, I met with three different individuals at different times. Each of them have varied tenure and backgrounds, but they each talked the same talk. After starting, I learned that Recruiters, Leadership, Sales, and Consultants all talk the talk and walk the walk. They firmly believe in, support, and influence the Daugherty Culture with clients and consultants alike. I feel like I'm finally able to collaborate with likeminded individuals instead of having to consistently pull majority weight, my work matters, my skills are acknowledged, and I have peers and leadership willing to listen to new ideas and position the consultant and client for success.

In addition to all of this, the benefits are phenomenal. Health, Dental, Vision, Vacation, Sick Leave, Holidays/Floating Holidays, Overtime pay, 401K, Profit Sharing, etc.

Cons – There aren't any negative points that come to mind. I truly have enjoyed every day I've worked for Daugherty (common among people who work here)!

Pros – Great Compensation, Great benefits, career paths, and only top tier consultants are hired. It is a wonderful place for consultants to be consultants. It is not set up to be a staff aug firm.

Cons – There can be long engagments at the same client. Time needed for goal and development planning impacts work life balance. You are expected to work 40+ at the client and still need time for all the Daugherty events, trainings and planning. However, this opportunity is one of the pros, so you get out what you put in!

Pros – Leadership team has empowered me to treat the business as my own. Unless I do something detrimental to (or not in the best interest of) Daugherty, they do not micro-manage. They look for high aptitude, solid business and technical acumen profiles who are down to earth and driven. Great learning experience so far!

Cons – Sometimes wish we had more Leadership (# of), however, we're a consistently growing company and this will be a critical item needed for any growing company. With growth comes opportunity, so in general I don't mind.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep growing steadily and move your all-star's up the ranks in a timely manner. Good/Strong communication is ALWAYS key! Great plans for the future which are not shared, cannot be realized by the team.

Pros – Benefits. Leadership. VERY Sharp Colleagues. Work/Life Balance. Caliber of clients. Interesting projects. Great opportunity for growth. Offer professional training internally and externally. Full Career Development Plans. Company gatherings. No travel.

Cons – Knowledge Sharing is strong, but could be improved internally as far as our Company Dashboard. Would maybe like to see more opportunities to visit other offices.

Advice to Senior Management – Although we are growing fast, take some more time with one-on-one employee communications. Leverage current employee knowledge base to insure we continue strong execution delivery.

Pros – Great team, fair compensation,proven delivery model,good client list, best health benefits in the industry and then some. Senior leadership values the team and their input. Some opportunities can be really strategic and challenging

Cons – Not a contract shop, but sometimes takes staffing engagements which feel very staff augment focused. Because of this you find yourself working alone on many projects instead of partnering with other Daugherty employees. Sitting in the IT space you feel that constant rate pressure as we align to take higher end engagements from national firms.

Advice to Senior Management – make sure employees understand where growth and expansion is going happen, show us some action on those plans.

Business Unit continues to build structure, process, and clarity around career advancement
Exceptional benefits with great health plan
Entrepreneurial type environment. Fast paced but good work / life balance
Compensated well, including Overtime pay on billable over 40 hours / week

Cons – More local leadership needed at highest levels

Pros – The people - smart, fun, consultative; not geeks!
Benefits are top tier.
Flexibility to do different things if that is what you want; have to understand the consulting industry and embrace that there is learning in everything you do.

Cons – Some people just don't get it... they won't survive anyway
Work is unpredictable - but that is consulting!

Advice to Senior Management – Keep improving... things have gotten much much better

Pros – Highly experienced, well-rounded employees. Senior leadership is reasonable and seems to really want happy employees. Very fair salary and benefits. Vacation days and even sick days carry over year to year. Overtime hours are paid.

Cons – Like any consulting company, Daugherty only has so much control over the exact type of work they can put you on. They have do fill the positions clients need, so some flexibility is necessary from consultants. This is true at every consulting company, at least at Daugherty I got the sense they were doing their sincere best to make a good fit between positions and skills.

Advice to Senior Management – I don't think I'd have any useful information to give. I think Daugherty is run the way I'd run my own consulting company. My impression of Daugherty is that it's run by good humored reasonable people doing the best they can to keep employees happy.
