I had learned from people that went to top tier schools in classes that were very small.

    Graduate Assistant (Current Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsThe faculty was quite good while I was there. There was ample opportunity to do undergraduate research.

ConsThe Chemistry department has gone down hill since I was there from what I have heard. There seem to have been quite a few missteps in the vetting process for new hire of tenure tracked professors.

DePaul Athletics Marketing and Licensing Intern

DePaul Athletics Marketing Assistant (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsPros: Friendly co-workers, free food, get to meet athletes and coaches. Get to pick your own hours as well. Overall, fun place to work

ConsThe pay was not that great most interns made only about $9-10 per hour. Sometimes the work can be frustrating or even boring.

Great support structure, really kind people

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat boss, well run meetings, lots of opportunities to do extra training. My boss was very transparent about everything that was going on and there was a lot of healthy dialogue in the workplace. Even the high up admins were very approachable and took the extra effort to say hello. A lot of space and adequate resources to do the job. You can also take classes for free and they have quite a few flexible programs to do so.

ConsThe place relies on a pretty high enrollment growth of its most profitable programs. They have been building a lot of new buildings lately, but then the enrollment dipped. The school still has a pretty sharp business sense so some policies can seem overly corporate at times. The student body tends to be pretty suburban and entitled.

Excellent for the right type of person.

    Research Assistant (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsExcellent if you're looking to move onto grad school as it provides publication opportunities and insight into academia you may not have had before, as well as a large amount of resources and information to assist if graduate school is your goal.

ConsPay can be quite low, especially when attempting to pay student debt and maintain somewhat of a social life in an expensive city.
