    Pros

    Fairly easy job.
    Convenient location
    OK job

    Cons

    Quite a lot of politics
    Parking is inaccessible
Supervisors aren't very knowledgable about specifics
    Computer systems are very antiquated
    Not the cleanest environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set clear expectations for employees. Also, you should strongly consider having sick employees not show up. It seems like the flu was passed around the whole time I was there!

    Pros

    The management team is wonderful.

    Cons

Lack of pay and advancement. Expensive medical-super high deductible. Great place for college grads and not so much for those with experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out of your "employees should be lucky to have any job" mentality and invest in your employees. Merit increase, better pay, advancement...something.

  3. Really good co-workers, but managers are selected based on favoritism and not on knowledge.

I worked at Dialog Direct part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Only good to gain Experience.

    Cons

Don't work with your hours. Don't train well, and you have to learn all by yourself.
Rarely raise pay for existing employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your management/leaders so that they can actually do their job and assist older employees. Older employees end up helping new ones rather than management.

    Pros

its a job that you can work till you get something else

    Cons

I have been working at Dialog Direct full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

You are able to make new friends by being employed there.
If you are a manager or Supervisor you pretty much get want you want.

    Cons

No Respect for Long-Tenured employees that have been there along time.
Human Resources doesn't care about helping employees with Benefit Issues or other matters. If you want something done you have to do it yourself.
Managers and Supervisors act immature and don't know what they are doing most of the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please be aware of what is going on within the company and ensure that loyal employees are treated with respect and dignity.

I worked at Dialog Direct full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good people working there overall and an environment that isn't all that pressurized.

    Cons

Things always have a feel of being disorganized. The people in place at the mid-managerial level didn't have real-world experience in insurance. There was never a feeling that a plan was in plae and being followed in any situation. There was always a feeling that things were being done on a last minute, as necessary basis instead of being planned for and necessary adjustments being made on the fly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Blow it up and start over. This time, hire people with field experience and who have managed insurance agents before to fill the spots both on the floor and in the hierarchy.

I have been working at Dialog Direct

    Pros

When the communication systems are working properly, the work day goes by quickly.

    Cons

Too many IT problems. Difficult to obtain a full 40 hour pay check. When the systems are not working or customers are not calling, employees are sent home for the day or until further notice with out pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate truthfully with your team and stop ignoring them. Upon hiring new employees, clarify the potential of Dialogue Marketing not having enough work to keep some employees working continuously at 40 hours per week.

    I worked at Dialog Direct

    Pros

Work with you on on your schedule

    Cons

Current policy of time off-trade shifts. Always having to be asked to trained on other projects. Waiting months to be be trained on projects after asking and asking to be trained on new ones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let people know how they are doing on job, besides the monthly reviews.Give biweekly reviews. Do a monthly retrain if people are falling behind on certain projects. Don't let everything fall to QA people. Don't just focus on new hires-people who've been there a awhile need more training on old or new projects too. If a policy changes on a project let us know or if a price does as well.
