    Well staffed ER with good teamwork

    Somewhat clumsy process in ER, but probably due to new facility learning as they go with their new ER.

    pension plan, 403b, competitive pay, room for advancement, all of that

    occasionally misguided leadership, often expected overtime, no standby pay for on call hours.

    I liked the people with whom I worked. Benefits were great. Company mission statement is one everyone should strive to have in their personal lives.

    Pros

    Seriously strive to live up to their mission statement of quality patient care.

    Cons

    They sold HCCL, the division I worked for without giving a contractually obligated 90 notice. Even with that, I would work there again.

    It might be helpful for corporate to leave the rarified air now and again and see how things their policies actually play out in the trenches.

    Great benefits, flexible schedules, chance to work with compassionate staff who really care how the patients are treated.

    Cons

    Demanding workloads, I.T. department run like a separate organization with no regard for cost savings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Cut out entire upper/middle management layer of IT and give the budget to patient facing staff!
