    good company

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood company, pays well for a college student. Commission structure allows you to make as much as you want (if there are buying customers available).

ConsToo much gossip between coworkers, at least the store I worked at.

Dillard's IT has great people, chaotic organization structure

Programmer Analyst (Current Employee) Little Rock, AR

ProsThe people are great to work with.

ConsThe organization and culture of Dillard's IT has drastically changed over the last few years. Some good, some bad. The request for new work has shifted away from IT to the business, but the ideas and request have been slow coming. Many developers are waiting for new projects and do simple maintenance projects to keep busy. Differences between upper IT management can be seen by their employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementUtilize your developers to their fullest capabilities and bring more ideas to the teams.

    Very physical job

    Associate (Current Employee) Irving, TX

ProsVery hard work physically, but no sales at the clearance centers, and the pay is better then average retail stores. Great place to get experience and stay in shape physically.

Advice to Senior ManagementI think you do a pretty great job with what you have to work with.

ConsScheduling, Sales Quota Threat, Limited suggestion for running of store

Advice to Senior ManagementInstead of focusing so heavy on the sales quota and threatening employees with termination if you don't reach the goal, focus more on quality customer service.
