    Good Health insurance, and benefits.

    Standing on your feet can be very taxing on your body.

    I think that a hour lunch break would be better on the digestion system.

    Pros

    -Great learning experience
    -Shadowed management
    -No sales goals (unlike associates)
    -Generous pay for not very hard work

    Cons

    -Some times it was very boring and there wasn't a lot for me to do as an intern
    -Sometimes forced to do dirty work like markdowns
    -Not offered a full time immediately after internship (must wait until closer to graduation)

    Intern should have more assignments and the program should be more organized.

    Had to meet specific sales quota. Some employers would steal your customers so the could get a sale.

    The atmosphere and co workers were like family to me.

    Cons

    The hours are long. Sometimes 13 hour days 6 days a week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pull for one another. Stand by each other when one of you need help or advise. Don't watch someone fail just to make yourself look better.

    I worked at Dillard's as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

    -Revamped internship program, learned alot more and really felt like apart of the management team
    -Hand's on experience in every aspect of being in management (scheduling, visual merchandising, leading a team, etc.)
    -Great pay for internship and great employee discount

    Cons

    -Overwork salaried employees
    -Some of the internship training felt rushed/haphazardly put together
    -Company is very set in its "ways", some practices outdated/need to be changed.

    Pros

    You will have a great discount more than most department stores 25% they work well with your schedule if you are in school or work another job.

    Cons

    Very strict policies. They have unrealistic sales goals and if you fail to meet them you may be fired.
