Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time
Pros – The value of the brand, the connection to storytelling, the creative opportunities, the global reach, the scale of the efforts, the impact on the audience.
Cons – The politics. The emphasis on perceptions, over value. The fear of functioning like a digital company in a digital age. Management does not put their money where their mouth is when it comes to growing talent.
Advice to Senior Management – Value and reward those who do good work, not those who complain the most and loudest, or have become the best at manipulating and maneuvering politically.

Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The Cast Member discounts on disney items and products is fantastic.
Cons – No upward mobility! Organizational lethargy - Cast Members who've worked at Disney for over ten years, never leave, and do not want to change with the times. This is a company where people go to retire.
Advice to Senior Management – Out with old thinking and in with fresh ideas and people.

Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Great benefits, many chances to learn about different industries from the pros.
Cons – If Disney's upper management does not like your "business unit", or if it is not making money, they are quick to have heads roll without warning.

Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time for more than a year
Pros – Disney perks: park admission, discounts
Cons – Week-to-week scheduling, it may take a long time to trasnfer/cross train to the specific area/attraction you'd like to work at. Initial assignments are random and then often require 6-month commitments before being considered for transfer/cross-training. Unionized workforce means no decisions are based on merit, just seniority. Many cast have long seniority but little dedication to their actual work.
Advice to Senior Management – Acknowledge that the cast is human. While you may not be able to change company/union-dictated processes, keeping in mind and acknowledging the conditions cast work under goes a long way.

Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time for less than a year
Pros – Free park entrance for you, and you can sign people in 16 times a year if you are a full time employee. Part time and casual regulars have different privileges.
Cons – The union doesn't do a ton for you. The benefits are ok but fairly expensive for what you get.
Advice to Senior Management – Offer a more competitive benefits package.

Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great brands! Overall fun perks, people who are passionate about the Disney Brands, engaging and inclusive environment, embrace diversity and promotes internal movement
Cons – Cheap on budgets to do effective business planning and execution...asked to do more with less. Pay and perks are inconsistent across the different brands ( ESPN, ABC, PARKS etc.) culture is not good with change
Advice to Senior Management – Set realistic expectations and walk the talk more
