ProsWonderful culture, fun place to work, excellent culture, lots of networking opportunities.

Seattle, WA

Current Employee – been working at Disney as a contractor for more than a year

ProsOur team supported and communicated with each other. QA learned from the developers and developers learned from QA so that the sprint could be delivered on time with quality.

ConsAgile is still evolving. The effort was divided among many groups, and coordination delivery of interlocking software made environments very unstable.

The reorganizations and loss of key people because contracts expired made the effort challenging.

Advice to Senior ManagementStudy what worked and let the teams find their own strengths and solutions.

Kissimmee, FL

Current Employee – been working at Disney full-time for more than 7 years

ProsGreat benefits and theme park perks. Fun working environment and supportive leaders. You can basically write your own ticket within the company because it is so diverse.

ConsYou must come from outside the company or leave and come back in order to make a decent salary. Senior leaders will openly admit this.

ProsA great place to work. Fast-paced, varied and challenging work is great for building skill sets and becoming more valuable as an employee.

ConsDisney is a very political and competitive organization. The social aspect is great, but it's easy to get thrown under the bus, so to speak.
