Lake Buena Vista, FL

Former Employee – worked at Disney part-time for less than a year

ProsGreat experience working around guests who are happy to be there and you take part in "making magic" and memorable experiences for them to remember for the rest of their lives. Free entrance to the park for you and family (limited times). Working at the most "Magical Place on Earth".

ConsPay could be better, but OT is always available and easy to make it up if your willing to work.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more involved other than the review times. Be more on stage and conversive with guests and cast.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Disney as an intern for more than a year

ProsCompany provides opportunities to grow through internship opportunities which allows you to network through the company. The harder you work the better your opportunities with Disney. It is a very collaborative environment which makes you feel like family while having a successful career at the same time. I plan to return soon now that my Masters degree is complete and skies the limit. I would recommend this company to anyone.

ConsNo negative cons at all, as long as you work hard and play hard you will succeed in this company. Strong work ethic and commitment is key.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue what you are doing

Current Employee – been working at Disney as a contractor

ProsGreat people, lots of culture, decent pay. Somewhat flexible with the scheduling of days.

ConsExpect to work on holidays. However, most companies expect this nowadays, so no surprise there.

Advice to Senior ManagementRemember very day what happens on the ground floor. Decisions that make perfect sense on paper (and I am sure that they do) do not always work on the ground

Los Angeles, CA

Former Employee – worked at Disney part-time for less than a year

ProsOnce you're in, the Disney family is very loyal. No one ever leaves because they are so happy there--like Disney Land. Promotions are slow to come but they do.

ConsIt does feel like a clique, and you really do have to know someone within, maybe even several people to vet you.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey're doing a great job. The networking aspect of garnering a position is just part of the industry. But, for an outsider...it's near impossible to secure a position of any merit.
