    Pros

I WORK AT DEALS BECAUSE I AM GOING TO SCHOOL AND IT FLEXIBLE.

    Cons

working with this company is like working under slave driver. you are over worked, the mangers get the credits and you are under paid.

    Advice to Management

This company needs to teach their store managers and assistant mangers how to treat their workers with integrity. They need to increase their wages.

    Pros

Gained experience of running a store. Had medical and dental insurance.

    Cons

Under paid, overworked, never appreciated. Family member passed while at work and there was no one to call for relief; no bereavement time so arranged fun al on 2 days off.

    Advice to Management

While you are home with you feet up you have stores open on holidays and not to mention dealing with employees from all walks of life due to low pay and no back ground check. Consider that whIle they are following me to the bank w/ your $$.

    Pros

My Co workers were amazing; they always gave 110% , the store bonuses were great even though the part-time-struggling-working-3-jobs-bc-no-one-pays-decent-single-parents I worked with weren't given anything. How can you enjoy a bonus when so many others are struggling? At least the store manager and I could always buy lunch for our associates, DT corp wouldn't If they even cared at all. Sorry I guess thats not a "pro". :/

    Cons

Minimum store order requirements, stock room was piled to the ceiling bc I couldnot get approval for more hours, the stock room was a fire hazard 9/10 times, and to corporate you are not valued as a person- you are just a number. I gave my 6 week notice that I was leaving the company to give them enough time to replace me I got denied 2 weeks of paid vacation bc the vacation time was considered a bonus, not a right. DT is a multimillion $ company bc they don't care about people, they care about their $. God forgive them they know not what they do.

    Advice to Management

Pray. Go to Church. Run your business like God is watching bc He is. $ is no good where you're going.

    Pros

Seriously nothing. Unless you count the salary for the Store Manager, even then, it's not even worth it.

    Cons

Everything! Horrible hours, very horrible minimum wage ONLY pay for part-time workers making it hard to keep workers, stressful situations that are ridiculous and absolutely no direction or support from anyone higher than a Store Manager.

    Advice to Management

Advice to Corporate: Treat your workers better or good people will stop applying and all you'll get is riff-raff!

  9. Great place to Shop, not so great to work for.

    Pros

Everything is a dollar. So you can buy like 3 things with the sad paycheck they give you.

    Cons

Awful pay, lots of stock to put out and no time to do it.

    Advice to Management

Shut down the company or completely reorganize.

    Pros

I enjoyed making my own schedule but was rarely able to keep it. I was always excepted to stay as late as necessary to complete the work.

    Cons

Not enough payroll hours, and want all employees except managers to be very part time at 13.5 hours. Because of this there is a very high turn over rate since no one can afford to live on such little hours. Everyone is treated very poorly and is very replaceable.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect and dignity and before you make decisions try them out. Example freight out in 48 hours but you get a second truck a day later.
