    Pros

Good people, great brands, good opportunity for business growth

    Cons

Rye Brook no longer was a co-headquarters -- most jobs were eliminated or moved, mine included.

    Advice to Management

You will not shrink yourself to greatness.

    Pros

The people are great, friendly, and will make you feel welcome as soon as you come in. The company has a lot of growth potential and you will be promoted based on ability, not seniority. There are some young managers and VP's because of this. The hours are also reasonable.

    Cons

Plano isn't the best city to work in when you're young, but its a good place to raise a family.

    Advice to Management

You've cultivated a very open and welcoming atmosphere where people can look forward to going to work. I enjoyed almost every day.

    Pros

Great job for a college student looking for some experience. Get to know about sales and selling techniques. Very educational.

    Cons

Rough working environment. Clientele is carry outs and gas stations. Some reps uncomfortable having you sell in their territory and not afraid to tell you.

    Advice to Management

Gear is more towards college students with possible campus recruiting. I was a bit old for this position when there is really no long term hopes.

    Pros

Allow freedom to complete work and respect a work life balance! Always willing to harness individual excellence for optimal gain!

    Cons

Corporate communication of 2nd and 3rd tier management down to field/trade level needs serious work and better understanding before critique.

    Advice to Management

Develop simple transfer of information from top down directives. Allow for transparency in local bottler dealings from DPSG.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Direct management is very supportive of employees work and offers praise for a job well done. Company has a good reward system in place for those that go above and beyond expectations.

    Cons

Senior management has lost focus on the business as it relates to the warehouse direct function and doesn't understand how the dynamics of that side of the business are vastly different from the bottling/direct store delivery side.

    Pros

    - Big Brands, Big Budgets - Decent Pay - Solid Processes (if they are adhered to) - Lots of fluidity among the workforce

    Cons

    - Increasingly siloed departments reduces responsibility for delivering plans - Little interest in innovation - Kill or be killed attitude among some colleagues leads to an intensely political climate

    Advice to Management

Senior management is overcompensated while many workforce reductions have taken place. The balance need to be redressed.

    Pros

The company is growing. Executives are very friendly. People from the outside have interest in the business. You get to sample new products and attend celebrations for new products outside with coworkers. Very fun atmosphere.

    Cons

If you don't have experience in sales, it's pretty difficult to move up. Not a lot of youth in the company. Not the best pay.

    Advice to Management

Provide stock options and bonuses to non managers. Install a career mentoring program. Don't focus quarterly meetings only on Dsd business.
