    Pros

    -Pay is great
    -perks are competitive

    Cons

-micro-management for training can be somewhat counter-productive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Very conservative company and office culture. Need more millennial to train up and invest for in the future.

I have been working at Ducommun full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

It all depends on your boss. I have a good boss.

    Cons

Trying to merge 20 locations into one company (especially when the General Managers are used to be a lord) is challenging.

I have been working at Ducommun full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is plenty of work the staff at the local office is beyond great! Some work from home allowed depending on your position.Travel can be very heavy for the good salary. Fast paced ever changing, stable market. Great learning opportunities if you are willing to take them.

    Cons

Communication is key to any good relationship working or otherwise a big front only at this company, not much room for advancement. Training is good if you enjoy doing it while you do the work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is great! It's who is above the managers. Just live your core values.

I have been working at Ducommun full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Can be lots of fun - you get to do a little (or a lot) of everything, not just the typical stuff in your job title; engineering, quality, ops, manufacturing, program management. You do it all!

    Cons

There is no accountability so a lot of people do nothing while only 3 or 4 people carry the burden for everyone in the group and then those are also the people who get the negative press when things go wrong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more managers who have a stronger knowledge and background in what they're supposed to be managing. Especially need more managers with a stronger technical background.

    I worked at Ducommun

    Pros

good first job, good benefits, interesting projects, latitude to make proposals for new projects and follow own work if the project is funded, not overly taxing work,

    Cons

not overly taxing work, poor feedback system from management (1x peryear), billable work meant that people work on a project but do not contribute much to the project's success, large desire for corporate growth by purchasing small to mid level companies, management plans timetables poorly and tends to micromanage as deadlines near

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I enjoyed working for this company but my goals and the companies began to separate. I would have liked more feedback on work performed and less micromanaging.
