    A mess

Director of International Marketing (Former Employee) Canton, MA

Prosthey have great people working there

ConsAs any fast food company, their tuenover is huge, and the worst part, they don't care, especially in International, see how many International people they have get rid of since 2008 and you will know what I mean

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't spend money in stupid sponsorships like that british soccer club just because your CEO is british and is a fan of the club, you don't even have a huge presence in the UK!

    Not an IT shop

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFree food. Fun brand. Some good people in the business areas.

ConsYou never know where you stand and could be layed off at any minute. Majority of real work is outsourced. Many in Info Tech are inexperienced and winging it including those in charge.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou need more worker bees and less middle management. Especially in the info tech area.

Dunkin' is a Demotivating Place to Work

Marketing Manager (Current Employee) Canton, MA

ProsGreat place for work/life balance. Good corporate culture. Great coffee!

ConsVery little opportunity for career development. Politics are more important than the work which can be demotivating. Layoffs occur on a regular basis.

    – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Fun at times and a great way to hone customer service skills. Not a forever job.

    Shift Leader (Current Employee)

ProsFast paced environment, day goes by quickly. If your franchise allows tipping its almost worth being a crew member. The work is surprisingly tough on your body especially if you car about your job.

ConsNot easy to remain upwardly mobile. The company acts as though you can go from the bottom up when in reality they would rather bring someone new in. Most franchises are satisfied with "leaving aces in there places". The company motto should be payless for more when it comes to their employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou would be surprised how capable some of your employees could be with the right level of incentive and training.

Okay company, poor management, the managers seem to not worry about important days off or when you put in extra work

Shift Leader (Former Employee) Waterbury, CT

ProsI was promoted to shift leader within a year of being there and the responsibility was nice

ConsPoor hours, poor pay, never received compensation change when i became a shift leader

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer longer hours, stress relief mats on the floors

High growth company filled with down to earth, hard working people.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsExtremely hard working people in this company

ConsDifficult business model outside core markets...

    Crew Member, 2011

Crew Member (Former Employee) Merrimack, NH

ProsFree coffee/donuts while you work! If you pick a less crowded location like I did, there is a lot of downtime where you can think about other things. Also, some Dunkins locations have tip jars which is always sweet!

ConsManagement requires you basically do all the work in the store, that includes washing equipment/dishes, scrubbing toilets, and all sorts of unsavory work. However, if you can bite your lip and do that without complaining, it ends soon enough.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay your workers for the amount of work they do, not how little you can get away with because you will never retain any younger part-time workers that are honest and won't steal or do anything wrong.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
