I worked at Dunkin as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn about franchises and the QSR industry. Dunkin is a marketing machine and there's a lot to learn if you're interested in marketing.

    Cons

No interns are hired for real jobs. If you're at the end of college or your MBA and hoping to get hired full time, you're better off looking somewhere else. This year Dunkin pulled the budget for all marketing interns who had had their internships extended past the summer and nobody has been hired from an internship for several years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either invest in interns or don't have them at all

I worked at Dunkin full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

they have great people working there

    Cons

As any fast food company, their tuenover is huge, and the worst part, they don't care, especially in International, see how many International people they have get rid of since 2008 and you will know what I mean

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't spend money in stupid sponsorships like that british soccer club just because your CEO is british and is a fan of the club, you don't even have a huge presence in the UK!

I have been working at Dunkin

    Pros

Free food. Fun brand. Some good people in the business areas.

    Cons

You never know where you stand and could be layed off at any minute. Majority of real work is outsourced. Many in Info Tech are inexperienced and winging it including those in charge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need more worker bees and less middle management. Especially in the info tech area.

    Pros

Great place for work/life balance. Good corporate culture. Great coffee!

    Cons

Very little opportunity for career development. Politics are more important than the work which can be demotivating. Layoffs occur on a regular basis.

I have been working at Dunkin full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fast paced environment, day goes by quickly. If your franchise allows tipping its almost worth being a crew member. The work is surprisingly tough on your body especially if you car about your job.

    Cons

Not easy to remain upwardly mobile. The company acts as though you can go from the bottom up when in reality they would rather bring someone new in. Most franchises are satisfied with "leaving aces in there places". The company motto should be payless for more when it comes to their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You would be surprised how capable some of your employees could be with the right level of incentive and training.
