    Growing Company, Great Products

    Project Manager (Current Employee)

ProsLot's of responsibility as the growth accelerates. Excellent product and always new in development. Strong in the East but Western states are showing some "pent-up" demand. Growth in western states should be the opportunity.

ConsLot's of direction changes as the growth accelerates, but roll with it and adjust. Some confusion & contradiction over "strategy" with frequent local management changes. Best local management is coming from those folks in the ops position with experience from the older DD Markets (East Coast)...some have 10+ yrs with DD.

Advice to Senior ManagementUse DD experienced management when you can find it. Experience is more credible with Franchisees and new staff.

    Great culture, fun perks

Project Manager (Current Employee) Canton, MA

ProsGreat teamwork and you're often recognized for your work. Work life balance is a pro, and cross functional training is offered.
The perks are also a morale boost - free coffee, bakery and ice cream, sampling a of products before they hit the market, 1:30 Fridays, and free fitness center and other mid year events to reward the employees. They also offer tickets to Red Sox games as well as raffles for other events where money goes to our charitable Foundation.

ConsSome micromanaging, and often times the chain of command can be frustrating.

A great nine-year run with Dunkin brands

Global Executive Pastry Chef (Former Employee) Canton, MA

ProsGreat opportunity to work with global partners to develop global platforms with long reaching opportunities.

I looked forward to every day, even with the normal corporate politics

ConsNow that they are fully public company. The stock price takes frontline in the culture and politics of tenure.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider the importance of employees that sweat ice cream and cool down by drinking coffee great opportunities great people, great futures all are true but remember that the brick-and-mortar was built by people's dedication to the brands which can be sullied easily

Overall a good company to work for.

    Operations Manager (Former Employee)

ProsThe salary and benefits are comparable to the market place. The people you get to work with are great. Some flexibility in scheduling and time off. Great opportunity to build and develop business relationships.

ConsHeavy work load and quality of life are out of balance. Recognition/praise is minimal. Below Director level employees treated with dispensable approach.

Advice to Senior ManagementSet and hold accountable to realistic expectations, not just budget forecasts. Grow the business by motivating your employees with a positive/appreciative approach. The return on investment will be huge because employees will want to do more.

    Dunkin is Great

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsYou are rewarded for hard work and it is a pleasure to come to work for the most part. Most people are genuinely nice and pleasant.

ConsAs a manager at Dunkin Corporate, I have many dealings with HR and they are horrible. They treat all employees as unequals, they are condescending and typically rude. Also calibration is the most ridiculous, unprofessional forum I have ever been involved in. I find it completely unneccesary to discuss all employees in front of the entire departments supervisors, managers and above. This should be confidential and filtered to the VPs through the Directors as they gather data from their managers.

Advice to Senior ManagementCalibration doesn't work, the jobs are still not even, the raises and bonuses are not even amongst similar positions through out the company.

Experience to last a life time.

Shift Leader (Former Employee) Hopewell Junction, NY

ProsLearned management skills, customer service, and made long lasting friendships.

ConsCranky customers, certain rules were not enforced, and poor management.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to avoid drama.

    Free food, fun friends!

Cashier/Counter Help (Former Employee) Warwick, RI

ProsWorked with one of my bff's, all the coffee you could drink!, Most food products for free, able to experiment with flavors and drink concoctions. Was working there during the remodeling so it was all brand-new stuff! Tips!

ConsSome co-workers with poor-attitude, you have to remember you are working with young teens on some shifts. Some customers are positively dreadful

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't play favorites. Less smoke breaks.
