    Pros

    Good medical and 401k benefits

    Cons

Opportunity for advancement being a contractor is limited

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More selective screening of personnel for technical jobs should take place for highly skilled positions, ie just because someone changed oil on trucks does not make them qualified to work on all systems of a vehicle, extensive background and previous employer's should be contacted for references

DynCorp is a marginal company at best

    I worked at DynCorp International

    Pros

Dyncorp offers an introductory experience to new contractors that have never worked overseas. So if you need to get in the door this is the place

    Cons

DynCorp was a marginal company at best, but I worked a contractor overseas. Their stateside jobs may be a better representation of the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more aware of what is going on overseas as it is representative of the company.

I worked at DynCorp International full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great opportunity for prior military personnel and government employees to find contract opportunities or work as an employee. Good for promotion if you have your college education. Good way to gain experience in the defense contracting industry.

    Cons

DynCorp is the epitome of fast-paced environment. Work processes are constantly changing without giving employees chance to adapt. It's a 24 hr around the clock organization and it demands employees to have the mindset. It's not a work-life balanced organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to improve on communication skills with team and seek to groom new leaders who are capable of making a beneficial future impact.
