    Pros

There are no "Pros" for working on this contract at all!

    Cons

    Horrible site management
    Horrible living arrangments
Dyncorp employees takes blame for all mishaps by locals
    Most locals mistreat you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to site management is to LEAVE! My advice to Corporate management is to FIRE the site management.

    Pros

Pay is competitive and liked the location

    Cons

Corporate needs to re-evaluate their managment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers should be open about changes within the companies and department. Directors should listen to what the lower level employees are telling them about their managers and make changes to the management instead of brushing them off.

    Pros

Compared to having a job and not having a job, you can always start networking to find other places for employment by networking with other contractors.

    Cons

This company underbid many other contracting agencies to win the bids. In this business practice, they do have numerous oppurtunities, but the individual suffers because you salary is lower than what it should be, plus numerous cuts to the benefits package.

    Pros

Bad economical situation in my country. Because I have accepted to be here. Otherwise I would think twice to accept such a job.

    Cons

Too many promises for good life, promotions and good salaries. It gives you hope all the time but at the end you become aware that those were just empty promises. It is very rare someone to be promoted. 90% from the Balkan people are not satisfied with their FNA contracts. Anyway, someone has to open the world map and to see that Macedonia and Bosnia are part of Europe.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To be more concerned about its employees. People use to quit just because they are not satisfied with the money. If the company wants to have and keep the professionals with it they have to think about this issue. Otherwise only Kenyians and Indians will work here.

    Pros

Salary was ok compared to other companies. Always paid on time.

    Cons

Long, long, hours. Purchasing Manager was not suited for leadership. Incredible workload with not enough staff. Manager did not seem to care about his people he just wanted the work to get done. They operate in dangerous countries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your people better. They are your best asset.

    Pros

Good pay considering the economy...good 401(k) if you can stand to stick around long enough for it to pay off.

    Cons

Dyncorp likes to squeeze their employee dry...you're just a warm body to fill a slot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up! Your company is being run into the ground by the "good old boy" system...promote your friends and run off everyone else. You are going to lose good employees.

    I worked at DynCorp International

    Pros

The best reason to work for DynCorp International is by far the compensation given compared to jobs in the field of law enforcement.

    Cons

Management is extremely incompetent. Employees are treated as numbers and not people. Management routinely lies to employees about any and everything. Management fosters an attitude of "window or isle seat". This means that if you continue voicing your concerns, you will soon be choosing a "window or isle seat" on your flight home after you are fired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on truthful communication with employees. Do not make up answers to important questions simply because you don't know the answer. Tell the employees the truth not what you think they want to hear. Also, in Afghanistan, too many decisions are made by people in Kabul who have no idea that there is a war raging in other parts of the country. Seek input from employees from these areas and make decisions based on the particular area they are in, rather than making blanket decisions that do not work in all parts of the country.

Ich habe DynCorp nach 18 Jahre verlassen, es war Zeit zu gehen, da die Mitarbeiter den Launen des oberen Managements ausgesetzt sind. I left DynCorp after 18 years, it was time to go due to Upper Management holding the workers hostage to their whims.

    (Translated from English)

    Pros

The pay was pretty good, but it recently has declined due to upper management trying to cut corners at the employee's expense, they still manage to hold on to their bonuses. They had a very good health insurance plan.

    Cons

Beförderung von Mitarbeitern ohne Managementerfahrung auf Managementpositionen, allgemeine Arroganz vom oberen Management.

Promoting employees to management with no management experience, overall arrogance of upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Werden Sie das "gute alter Junge Netzwerk" los.

Get rid of the "good ole boy network".
