    Pros

Great office, easy hours and decent pay

    Cons

to formal of a work environment. Management makes you wear a suit to work every day for a phone job.

Little to no growth opportunities; rarely do people get promoted to the external role and the ones that do get put in territories like WV.

Management will constantly look over your shoulder. A highly micromanaged work environment.

    Pros

great company core values and fantastic culture

    Cons

hard to move up unless you went to an upper tier school, lack of communication between management and employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pay your younger employees what the market dictates instead of using a stock purchase plan and 401k as a crutch

I have been working at Eaton Vance

    Pros

The people were great to work with. It was always a pleasure to work alongside them.

    Cons

The pay was less than I was expecting it would be. There was minimal room for growth and no extra challenges to take on.

    Pros

Eaton Vance is a great company and has excellent benefits. However employee pay is very low compared with other companies. It also depends which department you work in. Many have little to no growth potential or areas for advancement.

    Cons

Not for the company as a whole but in my department, days were long and boring. More and more processes are being automated so the job is basically mindless. Pay low and no opportunities for advancement.

I have been working at Eaton Vance

    Pros

very good work life balance. very nice people. can learn a lot, but it depends on whether you are working for a good analyst.

    Cons

under paid versus other RAs in Boston. coverage and exposure is limited unless you work for an analyst that delegates well. No set career path. The RA program isn't finite. There are RAs that have been here for 1 year, or 7 years...no set amount of time until you get promoted or "encouraged" to go to be school.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve career progression and delegate responsibility in equity department.
