    Seeking Stability

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsEmployees do care about the students, and helping them with a successful start through to graduation.
Benefits are at par with many companies.

ConsThe company grew quickly and now it is trying to maintain its growth - there have been periodic layoffs already.

Advice to Senior ManagementAnnouncements about new executives being hired seems to be a regular occurrence. The organization seems top-heavy.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Good corporation to work for.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat benefits - insurance, paid time off, holidays

ConsGovernment scrutinizes for-profit schools so our work can get bogged down in red tape

Advice to Senior ManagementTime to stop paying the lobbyists to change the government's mind. Put the money back into the students and reform

Great place to learn and advance your skill set

Systems Administrator (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsWith such a wide range of products / projects being worked on at any given moment, there is so much to learn. You'll be a better person just 6 months into working here if you are motivated and willing to learn.

I will and have recommended friends and family to work here, as I see first hand just what experience can be gained from this business.

ConsWith the current political administration's attacks on for profit education, it's hard to say where we are going currently and where we will stand in the next coming years.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more engaged with employees in keeping them in the loop at where the company projects are going and how it'll benefit the company. All to often projects happen with no understanding of what and why it's happening.

Great Corporate Support and Friendly Work Environment

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsEthical and talented group of employees. Time-off policies are employee friendly. Compensation was very competitive. The training was outstanding.

ConsWork-life balance not ideal. Declining enrollment and increased competition from less-expensive online universities created widespread workforce reductions.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrue transparency throughout the organization should be key to employee engagement and talent management!

ConsToo much emphasis on getting students in after the deadline...like on the DAY the classes start.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet the students choose their start date.

Fast paced and somewhat disorganized but overall good strategy.

Financial Analyst (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsFast pace was appealing. Growing rapidly at the time especially in the online division. Never a dull moment. Several enjoyable co-workers and lasting memories.

ConsSome items of HR got lost in the fast paced culture. Much of the company values were lost by the time they made it to lower level employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on employee retention. Duration of employment particularly in some areas of the company appears to be impeding financial progress and student attrition as well.

Consno bonus or commissions, constant change internally, convencing people in their 30-40's on average to go to college... Long days in the office to hit goal...

Advice to Senior ManagementHigher focus on employee relationships not just studenet relationships, many employees feel unaapreciated by management
