I worked at Elizabeth Arden (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good Salary-decent schedule flexibility however, there are times when you just can't take time off. Rarely could get in my vacations due to promotional schedule which meant you just loose the time off.

    Cons

When you divide your salary by the actual hours you have to work to get the job done you'll make about the same as a freelancer. Work/life balance is non existent. If you truly love the business and have no family its an awesome job.

    Advice to Management

Look to other companies that "have it right" Try being proactive instead or reactive. Being reactive cuts the company's credibility

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful, supportive people all the way up to the top. You need to genuinely be a driven, results oriented sales person to be a success and recieve all the positives, but that is understandable. One of the only cosmetic vendors out there now that will give the counters monthly bonuses for reaching thier goals.

    Cons

All the typical downsides or retail. Difficult schedule, long hours. Endless promos and pressure to make numbers so it's hard to take vacation.

    Advice to Management

As you already do, keep listening to the feed back of your floor people. They are in direct contact with the public and know what it needed most.
